You know it's going to be a bad one... none of the road are treated yet.

Two weeks ago, I noticed that they put down two treatments during a week when there was ZERO precip in the forecast.

Not me. 3-8" is more than I want to deal with. At least I'm not driving to work.

You saw that too! Sunny and mid 50*s and the road are brined. Must have some budget to bleed off before the end of the year.

Two friends are bored and looking for something to do.
One turns to the other and says, "Hey, I just remembered that there is a new place that has the best punch you'll ever drink."

They head to the joint, and the first man yells, "Bartender, two glasses of your best punch!"
Grumbling, the bartender replies, "If you want some punch, you're going to have to get in line like everybody else."

The friends turn and look around, but there's no punch line ....

    Sofa king ridiculous.

DC weather wonks are all marching in step now... showing west of I-81 as the snow accumulation area.

It’s all over the place. It was at like 11” for me yesterday to like 3” this morning and up to 5” now with less rain forecasted. We will see what we end up with!

We are about 1.5 miles off of 81, and our first forecast was 4-8", then 3-6" yesterday. I just looked and we are now under a winter storm watch for 4-8." Better go buy some bread and milk. Trucks filled up, but it probably won't move. Too many people out here don't know how to drive in this stuff. (Says a Michigander...)

I drove into town (Leesburg) late afternoon today. Rtes 7 and 9 not treated. Nothing in town, either.
Every yahoo with a snow plow is girded up for battle, though.

Now that I have proper equipment to get out, we'll probably never have another winter like 2009-10. 120" total at my place. Havent even reached half that in past 4 years, combined

The last two years I was in MI (Detroit area) we set snowfall records. I'll be happy if I never see snow again. That being said, we could use a couple of feet over the winter to bring up the reservoirs and streams. We are under water restrictions out here. So I guess I can be unhappy for a few months if it helps.

Something that you don’t see every day… while walking the dog… I saw a White Lexus SUV drive by, with a lift, snorkel, looked like 33’s, spare tire on a the back w/ a farm jack mounted underneath the spare and a winch. The way the engine sounded the exhaust was modded too. Didn’t have my phone w/ me for a pic.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
So Saturday is my last official Saturday off for the year, as of now. (Something else in the works...) I would like to get the truck out again and have a T4R ready to go. Kind of starting to worry about FPK and ice with overnight temps in the mid 20°'s the rest of the week in Harrisonburg, ground level, which means colder on the trail. Last weekend for Peters Mill for the winter shut down. Any more ideas? Any takers?
