Amazon had 2 sets. I liked my OG spcs. Ill have to get fully new arms the next time they wear out.

 

Looks for a used set of icon uniball arms and do the delta joint retrofit

 

Building arms could be fun... and I do have a tubing bender and access to machine tools... Why do I get these ideas

 

There's a ton of geometry that goes into them. Would be a challenging project, not sure what they go for now but I bought mine used for $250 awhile back. Icon sells a kit to retrofit their delta joints easily

 

Not saying it would be easy or financially smart. It would be fun though.

 

Thanks for the reminder - I need to do this to my ball joint version of the icon arms so I can swap them back in.

 

You'll like them. I had put a set in Tony's old truck and they worked really well. I'll be going to them when I need uniballs again

Yea it's suppose to be on par with a uniball as far as movement goes. I like uniballs but the silty soil and if you get any road salt in them then it eats the Teflon and corrodes the chrome plating on the spherical part, creating pitting, rust and faster wear. Then they get sloppy lol

 

Does anyone have a set of JBA replacement bushings around? Used is ok I just want some measurements.

I am wondering if they might work in my OG tubular SPC arms, I like JBAs bushing grease setup too.

 

Jd fab just came out with a sealed uniball, probably spendy but interesting

 

Yea the delta joints are spendy too. The real rip off is icons uniball rebuild kit. It's $100 for 2 uniballs and 2 coil clips and a small thing of red locktite and antiseize. I can get the uniballs for $15-$20 each by looking up the part number. Can't imagine the clips are $30ea

 

Nevermind. SPC's are 51mm ID and JBA uses stock sized bushings 45.4mm.

Could maybe press a spacer in there. Would be a decent wall thickness at around . 100"

 

Maybe a little wheeling in the next few weeks? Thinking like 27th or 28th??
