Still would have a slip yoke, either on the shaft or the trans if 2WD

I believe it is NOT a 2 piece driveshaft (but not 100% sure - don't recall seeing a carrier bearing) and it is 4wd.

When i grease the zerks on the driveshaft i can add a ton of grease to the slip yoke - if its binding is it already too late or just grease more?

    How is the radio reception?
I hear these aftermarket units have poor FM reception. I listen to my phone a lot but I still like my FM radio in the morning... lol

The slip yokes can’t be greased through a zerk because there isn’t one, and adding one - for that matter - is a poor idea. Drive shaft has to be disassembled (make sure to mark both ends first) to grease the slip yoke. The blue stuff from Ford is best.

If it actually is the slip yoke that’s binding, and not axle wrap or something else, then that’s probably because the old grease has dried out or washed out due to a torn boot. Unless the splines got damaged (unlikely) a clean and fresh grease should be the ticket.

The Rubritreks? Liking them so far. As expected they're not Highway Terrain quiet, but for an AT they're pretty darn quiet and comfortable on the road. They've handled some rain well and no vibes at 55mph. I'll try em in snow and above 65 mph soon.

I wanted to delete the grill chrome so I tried vinyl coverage. Not that complicated and nice outcome.
I also took the time to install my new headlights.

Put 60 psi in my air bags and carried a bunch of fresh cut green oak sections. No squat or bottom but had to remember to ride the parking brake backing down GF’s steep, slanted, wet driveway to keep the front wheels from locking up and sending me sideways into the creek. More yesterday, more tomorrow, and lots of splitting in my horoscope.

I'm in metro Atlanta with rather strong towers but I rarely use the radio. I've had a stubby antenna for years w/ no problem and haven't seen any change since I moved to the android unit.

Went to the Dealership this morning for a oil/filter change and lube drive shaft, leaf pack bolts, SPC UCA's and alignment, tire rotation. So when did it get soo expensive? Last time I took it in it was like $50.00 it was $84.00. It was $39.00 for oil:eek: holy cow.
Alignment was free bought a package, rotation free bought tires there.
Only thing I was charged for was oil, filter, gasket and labor.
Now for the good news here's the alignment numbers.

Just bought a 5 qtl 0-20 for $26 on sale at Tractor supply so $39 doesn’t sound too far off for a shop charge for 6. It’s not really the minimal savings but the opportunity to keep an eye on things from the bottom up. 7 years no rust.

I changed my oil today, Toyota filter with Kirkland synthetic. I was going to grease the drive shaft as I normally do, but it was too damn cold. I can’t wait to retire, move south where it’s warmer, the state believes in freedom, the roads aren’t salted like a pretzel and my governor doesn’t have teeth like Mr. Ed…and hopefully less bro-lean.

    6112 is thick. That is thin. It's a 5100.
