Taco Lean in the rear?

If same number of leaves on both sides and it is stage 1 on both sides (not stage 2 leaf on the passenger side only), I am with the guy who said one or both sides may have been torqued down while up on lift rather than down under weight, resulting in uneven settling.

 

They're ALL sloped, that's why the drain is in the middle.
That said, you've got some lean, obviously, but the wash slope is exaggerating it.

 

I have the same setup on my 2013 OR, RXTs with 5160s, 6112s in the front. I like it. No lean like you have.

 

I haven't installed mine yet. (RXT's, Fox Elite 2.5's)

 

37 inches on the driver side and 39 on the passenger side and that’s from the ground to the top of the wheel well

 

2 inches is definitely excessive. 1/4 to 1/2 inch is the usual.

 

i remeasured again in a better parking spot, i got like 37 on driver and about 38 1/2 on passenger

So I recently just bought a salvaged Tacoma as a project truck and noticed it had some rear frame damage im assuming. Paperwork state "Rear Suspension Frame is crooked and needs to be aligned at bodyshop."

 

No it’s not, i had the same truck but to fix it at the body shop would’ve been expensive so i did some finessing with my insurance company and they paid me out for it so i went and bought the same exact truck just not fucked up like the other one. just swapped the mods i had on the old one to my new one

 

When were those RXT Leaf springs purchased originally? As in when were they NEW.

 

they were purchased on exactly sept 26 from Accutune Off-road. They were put on October 3rd

 

Did you check the height settings on the front by chance?

 

My front left shock is up by about 1/4 of an inch than my passenger side. they sit right under 3 inches

 

Frustrating situation for sure.
It may prove irrelevant but I would loosen both leaf to shackle nuts to be sure there is no bind in either and unbolt my drivers side lower shock mount to be sure the shock can extend further.
I believe the retorque specs for the shackle bolt is 89 ft lbs and 75 ft lbs on the lower shock mount bolt.

 

so loosen the shakle bolts and then the shock bolts as well?

 

If the lower shock mount bolt isn't moving by tapping, it is under reverse pressure (being pulled) get a jack on the frame rear to relieve it.

 

That's a lot of lean. It sounds like your fronts are set to account for factory lean already. I think like mentioned, loosen both the bolts on the rear shackles and the bolt on the front of the leaf spring. Do both sides at the same time and bounce the truck as much as you can. See if it levels out. You need to get the bushings to relax if they are causing this.

 

May want to use a jack to press up on the differential and then lower back down after shackle bolts are loosened. 1.5 inches is a lot of tension in there, somewhere.

 

Do what darty posted, with or without a jack under dif for support. I only mentioned it due to 1.5" a spring could be moving, which is alot.

 

would it be better if i used the jack? or just not use it? i dont have one so i would have to go get one tomorrow
