Have you made a jig with an aluminum ladder? It was brilliant and makes me want to run out and try it.

Not yet but looks like a good rough cut jig. Id have to mod a chainsaw bar for that. Also a different chain. The wood part looks easy to copy

Well I got the belt to fix my drill press. But my hand is still out of commission from my accident and I'm not going to push it. I'll give it another week before I attempt to repair it and put it back together.

I was in a really bad semi accident. Front spring hanger on the truck broke and I lost steering.
This was the spring hanger that broke. Once it failed the axle shifted to the rear, ripped the steering wheel out of my hands, no steering from that point on.
    20240103_114954.jpg
the crash twisted the frame of the truck like a wet noodle, only God kept the cab from rolling over. Once you loose steering your just along for the ride and have no controll over anything. It was very violent and scary.

I walked away from this with only a sprained thumb. I still can't believe that. And I was only going 30mph, below the speed limit. Confirmed by GPS. I was downshifting and slowing even more coming into a curve. Then pop! Lost steering.

15 seconds earlier or later and I probably would not be here because I would be going 60 mph on the interstate with traffic. I truly am blessed Nd was watched over.

Dang! Glad you're ok! Hopefully that thumb heals up right quick and you can get back to the workbench

Thanks guys. I'm in therapy for the thumb. It's really sore and stiff, no grip strength with it yet, but it is slowly getting better. I'm just not going to rush it and give it time to heal.
