I don’t base adoption in anything except personality, energy ect and blending in and fitting with family.

 

I can’t say anything about adopting, 2 of mine are strays that decided to take up residence. Last 1 was given to me by my boss because he was being over run .

 

He will allegedely be here on the 12th of January, my sons birthday.

 

As a kid that’s how we got all our pets. Animals we found and after ads and other to find owners, we’d keep ones that never got claimed.

 

Charity. Helps the ones waiting to be adopted. We've gone to a few shelter events with blind auctions for donated items and paid way over market value for them.

 

All of mine are rescues. Ollie we found as an abandoned kitten, Harry & Marty were both from local private rescue groups that foster strays for adoption.

 

Same. All of the cats we've ever had were either off the streets or from the shelter - and we've had a lot over the years. I'm happy to pay an adoption fee, and have always had fun at the fundraisers.

Every cat I've had has basically adopted me. I had little choice.

-Dad, can you take care of my kitten for a few weeks?(she was the best cat ever,btw),
-Hi human, I am your new cat.

 

I have 1 of those and after a year she’s finally starting to come out of her shell.

 

Sounds like our old kitty Felix. My father in law would cook bacon every other day, sausage on the other days. That cat would make a bee line for that kitchen on bacon days.
Sausage days, he would sleep in.

My kitty Summer is always dropping her favorite ball where I am sure to find it.

 

Ditto, KitKat our newest one is all black, same as FrickFrack. They are both aloof as hell and extremely independent and unsociable except for when THEY want the attention. KitKat was feral. We have had her a year and she is just starting to be more friendly and sociable. Granted she is still a playful youngster as well, and both are bad ass hunters. They are both indoor and outdoor, we don't even have a litter box in the house. An interesting article I read on cat color vs personality explained alot. This wasn't the article but its similar.
Either way, google it and make your determination on your own. It's actually pretty interesting research.
