Yes, but not much room in the cab of a Taco for flight.
Was more envisioning both of them making the "Surprised Pikachu" face.....

So can somebody explain why there is so much hate for auto-lockers up front?

The A.D.D. should disconnect the passenger side axle from the differential and I know that the locker will spin the front end of the transfer case. Shouldn't the gear oil in the t-case be perfectly fine and work just like the diffs?

I'll say I've never had a front auto locker, but I didn't go with it primarily for concerns of using 4wd on snow/iced roads. Also talking about the YJ, so bad road conditions, locked front axle, and short wheel base sounds like an equation for squirreliness. Longer wheel based may not be as big of a concern, but I likely won't stay from this formula.

Same general reasons I went with an LSD in the rear instead of auto or selectable locker.

Having it lock up when I don't want it to would be my biggest reason.

Second would be .... Ifs. Front lockers in general. I'm not building a buggy crawler, what I'm doing would benefit from a rear locker like, once in a blue moon, but for the most part for me it's about lines, tires, and driving finesse.

And @Sasquatch3153 will tell you, we aren't on easy trails lol

Well yeah. I know that no amount of tech is going to compensate for my unreasonably bad decision making and driving skills.

And I agree about the snow driving. No thanks.

I was just looking at the auto to manual FJ tcase conversion posts about swapping the shaft and noticed the oil pump placement.

From what I can tell, the oil pump is driven by the input shaft from the engine. So it isn't like engaging 4wd turns on the pump.

Aside from just spinning a dumb amount of disconnected Tcase internals and most of the front drivetrain while in 2WD, what other undesirables are inevitable? Losing the ability to shift into 4WD on the fly?

And don't come at me with mileage, internal wear, and that tired stuff. We're way past that already.

Noobs with bluetooth smokers give me chuckles.

So what I'm hearing is that I should spool the front and be done with it.
