we got like half an inch and it's finally hitting and holding below 0c... our first "snow" fall was on new years day. all of Christmas was +5 to 7c and enough fog to make a new silent hill movie.

25 years ago when i was a kid, we had 2-3 feet of snow at all times. but thanks to global warming, we're not seeing any snow for the foreseeable future anymore. want snow? gonna have to make it ourselves with snow machines.
PS it's not just Own-traio anymore. Calgary and Edmonton havn't seen much snow either until more recently.

I think chochrane had a green christmas too.
So far seems the weather network was telling the truth that it being an el'nino year will make it start late this year.

the whole 14 day starting next week is snow in the forcast around my place.

Either that or it's because my co-worker's significant other bought a new snowmobile this year and jinxed the weather.

 

Whew. I thought it was because I took an on-call job snow plowing this winter.
