Had a weasel pull out in front of me today while I was cruising at 55 , just to go 100 yards and turn. Everything all clear behind me.

Yeah and those types usually don't even stop before pulling out in front of you only to go way under the speed limit and then turn off a short while later. Like why if you're not in a rush do you need to cut me off, especially when nobody behind me.

The one that gets me is a two part peeve. Part 1, road work ahead, two lanes into one. You finally get through it and sure enough, it's one lane . . . but no one doing anything anywhere. It's the ones that stay restricted for days or a week, you drive through and still, nothing, no work being done. WHY LOL

Part 2, those drivers that are either dimwits or who think they're better than everyone else that can see the signs but zoom along in the right lane and crowd their way in slowing down the movement even more. It's always been this way, I shake it off by remembering getting mad makes me look like this . . . .

#2 yes. There was an onramp going home from work like that, it was 2 lanes coming to the ramps and split right/left..one lane each. Left lane/ramp was the one almost everyone needed, some assholes would go in the right lane and cut over at the last second which backed things up quite a bit.

I was outside on lunch talking to someone who just started working there about how bad that backs up, a third person overheard it and said "oh that's what I do, I hate waiting..giggle". I looked right back and said "well if people like you didn't act so haughty it wouldn't back up so much". She didn't like that but what coul she do, especially since the person I was talking to just laughed at the interruptor.

Was real funny a week or so later when I'm in the left lane and guess who tries forcing her way in front of me? Nope. I had my $200 shitbucket Chevy Celebrity and she had a new car. I held my position and she glared. Got behind me and was honking, fussing, etc. Justice.

    Unmarked police cars!

The ones that still sort of resemble police cars (steel wheels, push bars, etc) are bad enough, especially at night...

I live in Warrington, PA and my town has two unmarked Chargers that look NOTHING like cop cars unless the emergency lights are on. One is burgundy and one is green. Both have what appear to be aftermarket custom wheels rather the ubiquitous steelies, and seriously look like garden variety mildly customized Chargers.

One Saturday this past August, I took my girlfriend to see Indiana Jones really late. By the time I dropped her off and was on my way back home, it was about 1am; I was stone cold sober, but really tired.

The aforementioned green Charger came out of nowhere and started following me, except I obviously couldn't tell it was a cop. The car started riding my ass, and I wasn't in the mood, so I hit the gas: I got pulled over less than a mile from my house because I thought I was being tailgated by some prick with a Hemi...

    :annoyed:

The cop said I was "swerving and speeding"; I did not get a ticket...

I 100% support the police, but you will never convince me that it's anything but entrapment to use unmarked police cars for routine patrol.

New one thanks to a new neighbor.

People that park in front of you on the street and back up to within 6 inches of your front bumper, every time.

My truck has steel bumpers so it would only suck for them if they were to bump into me lol. It's more about having space to get out without having to do a 36 pt turn

Hate this, always makes me think the person tapped me and just inched back.

Reminds me of something I once said before a bar fight when I walked up to the person:
Them: Wait, I'm not fighting you
Me: Well that sucks because I'm gonna fight you!

Good. Hopefully at least that much

Is it just me, or are people getting more inattentive and impatient? In the last few months, I have encountered a lot of drivers who turn left or right out of a parking lot or side street and seemingly forget that they are turning onto a busy road.

I have had similar encounters in intersections where other drivers cut it way too close; I almost nailed some twatwaffle in a Honda Accord the other day. I was going straight. The light turned yellow, and I continued through the intersection. The Accord turned left, and I almost clobbered him on the right front area of the car. My truck likely wouldn't have been totaled, but even accidents that aren't my fault are a pain in my ass...

As a manual driver, the people who nearly rear end me while I’m shifting from 1st to 2nd after waiting at a light.

I have a little 5spd sticker on my back window of my 4runner to try and avoid people like this. I live in the foothills so there are a lot of steep hills that will really slow you down for a second on that 1 - 2 shift. It happens most with electric cars getting right up on my ass I find.

Can be fun to do the little roll back/forth thing on them though and watch them freak out and back up in the rear view lol.

If I see them coming, I let off the brake and roll back a foot or two. Usually makes people question getting close to my bumper.

But I seriously do not understand why this 2023 model year truck I bought doesn't have hill hold. My 2008 BMW has hill hold. haha
