    Try to avoid automakers but tend to be cautious and go with a nice diverse mix: Microsoft, Alphabet, Broadcom, Amazon, UnitedHealth Group, TransDigm Group. Up 13%! Now if it can grow more I can afford a base model 4G! Kidding, I'm happy with my LR.

    Toyota might be using the EPA as a scapegoat.

    I hear that after final assembly, the entire first production run of ‘24’s were sent back after inspectors discovered they were all missing two cylinders. Rough idle & loud noises gave it away, hopefully they can sort it out soon.

    It should be interesting but I don’t think we’ll really know anything until about July.

    Yeah we will see if the price hike and slowing economy affects sales.

    I don't think 4G sales will see upper end 3G sales anytime soon. Will fleet buyers go to Frontier, or will they go with 1/2 tons? Pricing should be less if not much different. I saw someone test driving a new Honda Pilot today, I guess they don't want to wait for the Taco Limited with fulltime 4wd.

    @BirdBrain

    2023 Tacoma sales are down just a touch from 2022 by 2555 units. Not much, midsize truck sales overall are down too. With ‘24 Tacoma prices higher, and full-size coming down, wonder if that will hurt 4G sales?

    I hope the number one car maker knows what they are doing. The new Tacoma looks good in my opinion. Seems like they have trim levels for everyone.

    I want a black 2024 Tacoma Pro without the goofy seats. But I am not paying $65,000+

    Biggest driver of 4q numbers was Corolla hybrid (sales doubled) and RAV4 (+37%). Tacoma sales prob are headed for a decline at these prices, but even if its a modest decline it will still likely be positive for topline revenue growth.

    Believe sales will dip a touch, but will stay strong.

    While I like the 4G, a few steps backwards has made me look elsewhere for the next truck. And really…perfectly content with my 3rd Gen.

    If I had a 3rd gen, I would definitely keep it too, looks way better! 4th gen seems to be the same, still don't get much for the price you'd pay. Engine is only a good upgrade if you get the much higher trims.

    Is that missing two cylinders a real story?

    Since they killed the Access Cab, have to bump up to the SR5 DCLB. That would be about $50K OTD, my 3rd Gen has around $32K trade-in value currently. Not seeing coughing up another $18K for not much improvement other than a little extra power. Not to mention loosing the $8000 from what I paid for my 3rd Gen ($40K OTD) So really loosing $26,000…just for something a little newer that really won’t do anything all that much different than what I already have.
