4Runner hit the ditch the other day

 

I lived in ATL for a few years, the first year it snowed like <1in.
The whole city STF down..

At least most of us know we can't drive in that shit, so we don't try.
The worst are the transplants from up yonder, thinkin' they have some driving skill and winding up in the ditch

 

Oh yea
My area has quite a few NYC people some week Enders and some that have been full time since the RONA . They think because they have AWD or 4WD they can do 50-60 in the snow .
One night near Lake Placid NY I was pulling doubles ( 2- 48’ reefer trailers ) back to the warehouse in a blizzard . Someone in an SUV went by me doing at least 65 mph . Next thing ya know I see tail lights - headlights ,tail lights - headlights , guy was doing 60 mph 360s slammed into guard rail backwards into a pile of snow . I blew the air horn at em when I went by . About 45 minutes later same vehicle went by me again doing about 60

 

I was traveling south on I-95 in 1978, about 35 miles north of the Savannah river, headed to @G8R_Taco city when the S.C. DOT closed the expressway due light snow and 'possible' black ice for four nights. Yep, that's southern life!

 

They're the worst for other reasons as well

At least here, when you slide off the road [even in snow] there is a good probability of mud awaiting you where you land; most people can't get outta that stuff.

One day when it was rainin' good I had to drive up the toll road/interstate thingy - I saw a State Trooper stuck in the median [it was wide and muddy] tryin to turn around and chase someone! Even in his fancy AWD Charger he was stuck AF!
