Still haven't been out there with my truck. Having a rear end with tons of droop is so important for the crawls.... Having one with enough comp is important for the fasts

Get one of the "high efficiency" combo units, it'll be cheaper to buy, take less space and take 8x as long to wash anything, and will also cost less to run... But vinegar and a sponge will suddenly become a part of your routine if you fuck with grease for work.

It's on thc, but setting height is .12 for the 1/8 ss, it probably goes a little higher than that tho.

Usually I leave it at .08 for everything tho and let the do its thing

They make little washing machines you can plug into a regular outlet, just keep it outside under cover. The girl that rents the guest house behind us has one of them. Connects to the outdoor hose hookup.

As for a dryer just hang that shit outside

THC works to maintain your programmed cut height; it does this by measuring voltage after the initial pierce, and adjusting Z axis as it runs through your cut to maintain that initially measured voltage

That isn't your cut height though and just typing into your CAM program a cut height of say 0.08" does not mean your torch is physically at 0.08"

For instance, my one PTM-60 torch would require a programmed height of .055" in CAM in order to have a physical cut height of .06"

Since I switched to my UPM-105 I have a programmed height of .045" in CAM in order to achieve .03" cut height from my shield

Programmed isn't 1:1 with actual due to small variances from one setup to another which is why you have to pause during the middle of your cut, measure, adjust, and confirm

Now this is stuff that I know and have not bothered to sort out settings wise, since specifically on mild the difference isn't incredible. Now on the stainless I am paying a lot more attention since the quality difference between small changes is remarkable. I started with just the hypertherm cut chart settings, upped pierce delay a little, .4->.6, also slowed the ipm down a little 110->95->75, but had not changed the pierce height or cut height.
