Our pharmacist Danelle really helps us out, we are fortunate. It’s ashame that it has to be so difficult/expencive.

I hate to say that the captive "Optum RX" on UHC is better than the "Walgreens/AARP" on my plan name is, but they really have been. I was on the Walgreens app monthly straightening things out, and AutoRefills seldom did. So this is the first real issue - it's just annoying no one can tell me why it happened in the first place, and that the only options are speaking with someone out of country, or the "secure message". I thought putting it in writing would be best, but that's how my luck runs!

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/RXers. My mom was a retired teacher and their retiree prescription plan was with OptumRX. (Dad also got some meds through the VA.) I thought it worked pretty well, but then my folks were hyper vigilant about meds and kept an extra of everything on hand. When they dipped into that reserve they'd order the next one. Everything arrived by mail. They used the phone or postal mail to order; when I took over I did it online. It all worked well. OptumRX even kept them supplied during the early days of the pandemic, for which they -- and I -- were very grateful.

A couple of days ago there was odd activity at our next door neighbors' house. A van was parked up near the door and there were two state police cars at the bottom of the driveway. The police were there for over an hour, the van even longer. There have been ambulances in there on occasion, because the wife has all kinds of medical issues, but this seemed different. The worst was confirmed this morning when I found her obituary online.

Simone was a bit of a character. When she married our lifelong bachelor neighbor we thought wow, she could almost be his mom, there was that much of an age difference. But she was good for him, and they made a great couple. For a long time she would put out all kinds of Christmas decorations in the yard, lighting up the whole neighborhood. In warmer weather she was always out doing something in the gardens. She once had a gigantic yard sale that covered the whole property! She had collected things from family and friends and put it all out. Stuff was hung and stacked and piled just everywhere. She also started a local organization that raised funds for veterans. As time went on her illnesses meant that the decorations were no longer in the yard, and we saw her less and less. She always had a smile, never failed to be friendly. Godspeed Simone. Your troubles are over now.

Yep I worked in the lumber and building industry. I worked with doors and windows mostly. All those issues we experienced as well. It seemed easier before they became computerized as shop lead I would be asked once in a while to confirm counts but then. But then after the inventory tracking was implementedit turned into a shit show. And it didn't matter which company I worked at the last 35 years I worked.

It wouldn't be so bad just doing inventory but I still need to continue with doing my regular work. Ordering supplies, materials, parts, etc. Receiving those same items, getting materials quotes for jobs we're estimating and all of the rest of my job WHILE doing inventory. I think it's that juggling act that makes it a bitch.

Inventory was never any fun, no matter how they ran it. Always a PITA!

You know what folks, I just put everything in drive to do the work, and after inpecting all four, they are really installed pretty well! Only a couple spots where I know I have "repaired" mounts. If it's OK with you, I think I'm gonna leave things alone until I have a real issue. I'll just stash the stuff until then.

You are lucky to have a long-term pharmacist. Seems like there is a big turnover of employees in the pharmacy business withing the grocery stores and the big pharmacies.

@Armed in Utah TY for the beautiful pics.

@wdb Sorry for the loss of your neighbor. I live on a cul-de-sac and know the neighbors. Always a concern when an ambulance is on the block. I have been living here since October of 79. When I moved in all the neighbors were seniors.

Good morning. Finishing the "Taking Dow Christmas" today and will put the totes away in the attic. I believe it is dinner and music tonight at a new restaurant.

Move south young man! Our biker crew is going on a ride this morning and heading to lunch. 42 degrees now but will get up to 60 later. A bit nippy this morning but heated grips and testicular warming device (heated seat) will be just about right.
