Save some trouble. Get a $20 wireless relay. Hang the remote light fob anywhere you want.

I thought about it, but $20 is more than i have invested in this already lol The switches are a 2 minute job to cut the hole once i figure out where i want. This was also a premade harness minus the extensions up the ROPS

After the winter we had last year its been on the list. Had the parts on the shelf just never got around to do it lol. But trying to remove snow in the dark with the loader in the way was not the most enjoyable thing

I thought it would be kind of convenient to hit the button standing on your porch to light up the back yard with those lights mounted on the tractor.

...maybe that's the bait pile hunter in me...I dunno?

I definitely did consider them over switches. But I'm cheap. And the tractor gets to live in the shop during the winter anyways.

Though I did get smart switches so I could turn the outside lights on from the house lol

Does your tractor have any switch blanks that aren't being used? Mine had one, already used it for the snowblower chute height actuator I added.
I need to probably add some lights too. Front-mounted snowblower is partly in the way.

It has one open spot that could work. But id like to keep the front and year independent of each other

Yeah makes sense. I think I've seen somewhere in the past a double rocker switch that fits in a cutout blank.

I've got a switch in the house that controls the block heater in the barn for the tractor. As long as I remember to plug it in, I can turn it on from the warmth of the hosue before needed.

Worked on the front blade last night, made a new frame for it. The one I got with it was wore out. I added hydraulics a while back to make it turn left and right.

the benefit of Pats is you don’t need bushings for the implements and no issues with the top link not fitting.
Speedco now makes a QH that doesn’t require bushings which is nice. If you go with a QH, make sure the top hook is adjustable. I have to adjust mine between the chipper and stump grinder.

Repainted my bush hog last week and made new decals for it. Sharpened the blades as well.

That looks like the perfect size tractor. How are the backhoes on these? Good for digging up little stumps? Grinder looks like it would handle the bigger stumps.

its a great tractor for hogging/plowing/grinding/moving dirt/rock/sand & so on.
i think its too heavy for mowing though. with the tires loaded & weight box on the back its around 4,000lbs. that makes a mess out of the yard if its not perfect dry. im down in the woods a lot doing logs/trees & with the manual grapple on the front it really is a beast for the size.

now on the grinder? man its all about application. stay out of rocks/gravel & you can get the life on teeth like we are. close to 200 stumps now of various sizes, almost all hard woods & they are still good. work in gravel or sand stone? NOPE. avoid that. you cant see it in my pix, but when im gonna do a lot of stumps at the same time? like my first few years.... i threw a camera on there so i could face forward at all times & watch the screen instead of twisting around backwards all day long.
    super helpful!!

PS: this grinder is set up for HST style tractors... NOT manual clutch tractors. watch a couple vids you'll see why. i put her in low range & usually just let her crawl forward. only take a small bite at a time & you can make quick work of a 24" diam stump down to 8" below grade in about 30mins.

on the backhoe? never been happy with tractor backhoes. they just dont have enough hydro pressure for sweeping dirt back into the trench/hole. They dig pretty good, but really fall flat on back fill. BUT they are way better than using a shovel! :)
