Anyone from the Philadelphia Pennsylvania area? Going to the black tie event opening night of the auto show on January 12th. Really hoping Toyota has some 4th gen tacomas and possibly people from the engineering team. This is a formal event so keeping my hopes up.

Long time listener, first time caller. They have the trailhunter pictured on their website. Probably just a placeholder. But in the event they actually have it on display, would you ask them suspension related questions? Like are those Emu shocks front and back adjustable? Have they tried to max out the wheel size in testing? Thanks in advance, I will hang up now and listen.

I’ll try and remember to ask. No idea if engineers go to an event like this. I would think if they are gonna be there it would be the opening night where everyone is dressed to the hills and paid LOT of money to attend.

I'm right across the bridge in south jersey. The black tie event seems more like corporate event. Starting at $325 per tix? Not surprising given everything 4g is expensive but no thanks, I'll go next day for $20 pop.

We’re going mainly to expierence the fun and get dressed up. Plus the money goes to children’s hospital. If you ever get the chance you should go to dinner at the top of the Comcast building/four seasons. Highest point in center city and closest thing to the old windows on the world in the world trade center. Best dinner I ever had

Didn't realize there was a charity component to it. All for that. Enjoy, get some good inside info! My old office was at 20th Market so we saw the Comcast building going up as it happened outside our conference room windows. Been to the tired hands beer store there but not the 4 seasons restaurant, I'm sure it's legit. Marking that one down for babysitter/special night out.

Proceeds going to a children’s hospital is outstanding. Enjoy your night out and post some pictures if you can.

Ah nice. Grew up in Bellmawr, now in Rancocas Woods. Haven't wheeled in a while, fixing the LC.

Ha, I usually tell people that when they ask where I'm from. Movie town name is actually based on our town. Debra Hill was local resident who co-wrote and produced Halloween with John Carpenter so that's where it came from. And the fictional movie town actually does resemble ours. Quiet suburban town with big Victorian houses and tree lined streets.

Yep, I live in Havertown and MIGHT go to the show (not the black tie thing). Last year's show was a major disappointment though, as Honda, Mazda, Nissan, and some other manufacturers never showed up. Two highlights for me though was the Jeep wrangler dude trying to convince me to wait in a 50-deep line to experience what a Jeep 'can do' if I were to break from the 99.99% of those who will never leave the pavement, and the second highlight was watching the EVs on the demo track. Damn, those things can accelerate!

Steven Spielberg grew up in Haddonfield and his movie A.I. is partially set in Haddonfield.

Just started a thread to ask if 2024 Tacomas will be on display at The Auto Show.
