My truck was hit from behind today on the freeway. There was heavy rain and traffic was stopped and the guy smacked into me (something about Socal drivers and the rain, you'd swear it was snow). He mangled my rear bumper and crunched the driver's side rear corner panel. It looks like one of the leafs on my TSB pack is also broken and the tailgate mount is bent. I'm taking it to the appraiser tomorrow morning. One upside is I should be able to get a black bumper as a replacement. BTW, the bedliner on the bumper didn't hold up for crap!! :D

Oh man I'm sorry!! That happened to me a couple months ago but it did way more damage to the ass that hit me than it did my truck. Good luck with getting it fixed!

On his car, it destroyed the area around the passenger headlight and the hood. He pretty much went under the truck. At least no one was hurt. Traffic had stopped because of an accident about 100 yards up ahead (multi-car with one car was flipped over).

Rob, sooo sorry to hear (and see) about the accident. I was on the road before the rain this morning. Glad you weren't pushed into the car in front of you. You must have given yourself extra space in front for such an occasion. What happened to the sensor?

At least it wasn't a drunk driving illegal alien who tried to run after hitting your month old truck. In other words, I can (sort of) relate.

    That sucks, time to upgrade!

When we first got that rain a couple weeks ago i went to google maps and looked at the traffic in the San Diego Area. It had 14 car accident symbols at once!

Rob, you better make the meet! Send in that truck for repairs after the meet then. Just in case you get stuck in a rut. You can't damage the rear bumper any more than it is right now.
