With two cars parked in the driveway, I just have to clear them off and shovel around and path from the door to them, thats basically it lol

My retired neighbor just came by to inform me he is plowing my driveway too. I’ll probably offer to do any shoveling or snow blowing he needs. Great guy

Putting a laundry tub style sink in my garage was best thing ever. And yeah, not having to remove boots to take a leak in the house...

Just picked up unsold inventory from a local holiday show I had some work at.

Two of the pieces were damaged, one beyond salvage. One was a large decorative box, 10-12 hours of labor in it, looks like it got dropped hard on the tile floor. That one's beyond saving. Another was a picture frame that looks like someone tried to pry the backing off of for some reason, managed to partly pull out one of the screws holding it together and damaged the backing/stripped the screw hole in the process.

This is one of the reasons I hate consignment and it reminds me why I quit doing it years ago.

Yeah I can’t wait. I gotta figure out how I’m going to do it. Detached barn with no plumbing going to it.

I think I’ll collect rainwater with the gutters and do a stock tank heater to keep it from freezing

I was lucky, laundry room on the other side of the wall. Easy to tap into for water and drain

We park ours in the garage during storms which makes the driveway easier to clear without obstacles. Usually, just my fiancee parks in the garage - it's a single 16' wide door which would be fine for two average sized vehicles, but an F-150 + a CX-5 is a little tight.

    Still looking like 10-14" here.

I'd love to do this, but although my garage is attached, it's joined onto the mud room, which was an addition and was built on a concrete slab. I'd need to get past the ~17 ft long mudroom somehow in order to get into the basement. Way more trouble than it's worth.

Yeah it’s only about 15 ft from the barn to the house but it’s all rock. Getting below the frost line would take weeks. For the electrical I dug mostly with a pry bar.

for the drain I’ll just make a little French drain. It’s going to be strictly greywater so I have no issue doing that.
