Thanks, they are the BD Squadrons and the covers came from The Taco Garage. Couple different options to chose from for the covers.

A little spray paint to the factory skid plate and novelty tow hooks to update the appearance.

If you own that they are just for show you take all the fun out of calling them nipple rings!

Something like this will be the closest backlight match to oem from what I hear
    https://www.aironboard.com/online/b...h-12volt-toyota-oem-replacement-new-blue.html
Second choice are ones from here
    https://www.ch4x4.com/product/ch4x4-push-switch-for-toyota-tacoma-3rd-gen-roof-light-bar-symbol-2/

Watch out for sizing and be sure to get the right one for the blank you want to replace

However, like their namesakes, they are able to withstand some force, and will get the “truck” to move in most circumstances.
There aren’t suitable for very hard tugging and won’t support the full weight of what they are attached to. I linked a photo of what a “full strength recovery point” looks like in a different application.
Feel free to Google “nipple rings” in order to compare and contrast.

Finally installed my Gator soft roll up tonneau cover that came in last week. Had several of these on different brand trucks and all seem to fit nice. I can see a little sunlight creeping through the two front corners. Nothing a foam or rubber seal can't mend. Secures nicely to the existing track system as well.

I used plumber's putty. After a year still works great. Easily reversible if you want to remove it. No mess to deal with.

I just put them on my 23. You gotta pop off the black plastic piece on the back of the knobs.

Big thanks to MudRak in Sonoma CA for the install. Really happy how it turned out. Went with the 1450 Bars . Cant wait to fill and pack for the first adventure.
Have a great rest of the weekend. IMG_1132.jpg IMG_1138.jpg IMG_1137.jpg

Today, changed the oil for the first time since I bought my Taco. Installed the Fumoto valve for easier changes.

Just got my Katskinz upholstery installed this past week. Happy with it. I am considering doing upholstery on dash pane and door panels. It seems like a b!tch to get the door upholstery on/off. Thoughts?

Finally got the front coilover bolts replaced with the improved Forerunner bolts. Since it was done at around 5k miles I'm hoping the bushings aren't already affected.
