HELP!! 2016 Tacoma 4x4 push button not working properly

    A added the Meso Custom blackout trim on my push button 4x4 and it is not working correctly now. The whole switch is just loose and not spring loaded like before. I can still see 2 springs in the device but it is not working like it should.

    Nothing to add except that the items I’ve received from him- dual color dome and map lights- seem to be top notch and have worked perfectly from install until now, about 2 years.

    Have you reached out to him? He has been responsive to others here in the past.

    Good luck getting it sorted out.

    Time stamp 4:30 shows assembly of the 4x4 button. I can see how it's easily possible for reassembly to go wrong.

    I have several dozen times. It’s just when the push button 4x4 is all back together it doesn’t turn properly. It’s just spins freely.

    Thanks for all y’all’s input. I finally figured it out. After reading a bunch of posts on here. There was a little bead of plastic that was on top of the springs. Apparently I lost them. I took a chain from a ceiling fan and cut off 4 beads. I put 2 on top of each spring and BAM!!!!! I actually think it works better than before. I really appreciate y’all’s info tho!!
