Just checked the refrigerator, down to a 1/2 loaf of bread, 1/2 gallon of milk, good on the TP. We normally grocery shop on Sunday, but today we have to contend with snow, getting nervous.

 

Good Morningall we got was freezing rain. power went out last nite for @ an hour.

 

Can’t wait for noontime.

Good morning. Weather guessers rolled snake eyes - only about 2 or 3” here. Currently 34F and a mist but is supposed to get colder and change back to snow later.

yes ive got one,but not a big one. it will run the heater and light in the family room.

 

They laid down plenty of liquid rust yesterday all over the roads. Being Sunday, triple time, they’ll be out later spreading salt all over. The town no longer uses a sand salt mixture - just straight salt as the sand washes off into the brooks in the spring. So where does the salt go?

I had one of those for years. Got tired of pulling extension cords.
Did a lot of research and called in “after hours” labor.
Cost me $800 for whole house including gen. and meters and alert boxes.
Sweat equity is everything.lol

I guess the cobbler's kid goes barefoot- I'm an electrician but I backfeed my panel thru my garage circuit with a portable generator! Oh, and for the opposite phase? I turn off all the double pole breakers and install a 2 pole 30 with a jumper, lol! DON"T DO WHAT I DO!!

When I had my “little gen” I ran a separate house circuit with separate outlets.
So then I just got tired of it and wanted whole house availability…
