Hey everybody this morning I installed N2 Designe remote start and phone module on my 2020 Tacoma with push start key. I started with the remote start itself first and followed directions to include YouTube video from N2 and went to test and worked fine. Was able to start with key fob. So I moved to the phone module. Again followed all instructions plus YouTube video. Went to start via app and was unable to start. I was however able to lock and unlock vehicle. So I decided to try the key fob and now it also won’t start with fob. I tried reprogramming and still nothing. I also completely removed everything and tried again and no luck. I noticed after I try to start wether it’s the key fob or app and go inside the truck my dash start to flash for a few seconds (hazards, fog light and a few other dash lights) and I hear a click that happens maybe 4 times and it stops. Ended up taking the entire kit out and put truck back together and starts just fine and drives. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

    Give them a call.
Probably something simple, but if not, they'll take care of you.

I tried to call the number that came with kit but seems like they are closed for the day. I’ll give them a call tomorrow.

This exact thing happened to me. Did they offer advice on how to fix it?

Push to start, no need to cut wire. That's H-key only.. push to start is all plug and play.

The kit that I bought didn’t have in the instructions to cut any wires everything was completely plug and play. I do believe the kit for the 2020 Tacoma without the SOS button does need some wire cutting but wasn’t the case for me.

I called but unfortunately can’t really work on the truck due to work. Friday I have off so was told to call when I had time to go step by step with a tech to help me.

Most likely you have the Toyota Data Connect installed from the factory if you have the SOS button. Even if you don’t pay the subscription fee for it, the software is still in the vehicle. The trucks ECU and N2’s computer are basically fighting it out and not knowing what the other is doing. Call James @N2DesignsInc and he will get you fixed up. They sent me out a new harness that replaces the original one they send with the units, with an additional pigtail that stretches behind passenger kick panel to fix the issue.
