The resources it takes to build one wind generator will never come close to what it will ever produce......

Everything has an environmental cost and no energy solution is perfect, thats for sure. Bummer so see public lands infringed on. I think I am going to get a eBike to cut my commute down, no lie.

It does. While I am not 100% sure, there is a possibility that the recent Moab closure has more to do with lithium exploration just adjacent to the West of the area, than it does have environmental impact from OHVs.

    https://eplanning.blm.gov/eplanning-ui/project/2014014/510

https://utahpla.com/moab-road-closure-updated-info-nov-2-2023/#:~:text=In September, BLM announced their,28% of the road network.

Where we live now everything is within bicycling distance (products still need to be trucked in though) that is at least one of the plans for retirement, that or selling everything and hitting the road. You only live once as they say, don’t think the two of us living simpler than we already do is going to make much of a difference, especially when our neighbor has eight kids and we have none. We are in the middle of Mormon country, where multiple kids of multiple kids are the norm, we are the outcasts and are looked down upon.

I'm aware. State gas taxes cover a pretty wide spread from ~8-58 cents. Then it's really getting into the weeds with how individual states will handle those taxes going forward.

It's actually insane that a gallon of gas can be had for under $3 a gallon when you think about what needs to happen to get it into your gas tank. A gallon of drinking water costs $1.67 at my local grocery store.

Speaking of energy solutions, did ya hear gas mileage isn’t that much better on the 4th Gen than the 3rd Gen, so they made the gas tank smaller…ummm…

Wonder if the Pro and Trailhunter will have larger tanks.

MPG, or capacity? If I remember correctly, the current generation is about 22gl.

If they do there’ll be a markup.

The way the price structure is so far on the 4th Gen, it wouldn't surprise me if there was a markup for a larger capacity tank.

Just wait until guys put 35s on them…

…no wonder they are marketing hard towards the overland crowd. Gotta sell those Trail Hunter accessories!
