Lol no, that risk is present even at 18psi but it doesn't get actually risk till about 6-7psi

Maybe it was cause I had 17” rims and only 32s idk

 

I started going to 10 on short trails and long multi day stuff I've been at 15. Of course they're only like 28 on road anyway

 

Why would you be out all night airing up

You using a bicycle pump or something?

 

Running that low on the road kills my fuel economy - it goes down to like 14-15 on the highway. People told me it wouldn’t make a difference but it does. I usually run them at 40 for daily driving.

Always wondered too. I’m sure it makes it somewhat idiot proof for the unprepared and uninformed folk. But better to let ‘em learn I say.

The obstacle I talked about is actually the first one in this vid I posted before. They make it look much easier than we found it today. Maybe it was wetter and slicker for us. I needed a fair amount of momentum to get up.

It’s decent, but it still takes a bit to get back up to 40. It gets really hot too.

 

My cornering on the mountain highways isn’t exactly “easy” either…never had issues haha

What'd the chalk test reveal? You're not super overloaded on your truck all the time are you?

 

No I’ve just found that gets time the best mpg for long trips

 

I've got much bigger tires than you and they're e rated. They wear all fucked up (center wears out) above 30psi

 

That is a huge reason now (and makes sense) why you have a shitty ride as you've complained about it often here

 

Or maybe you're confusing it for the fact that you're going on a long trip = mostly highway?

I'd chalk test and run that

 

My flatbed has the least desirable Enkei wheels that were too similar to one of the OEM Toyota wheels.
