That’s correct. DOT regulations require any vehicle of a certain width have designated marker lights. As you realize, it’s become a trend to run similar lights on vehicles that aren’t required to by DOT standards. Just today, I saw a Ram 1500 and Jeep Wrangler with marker lights added to the grille. Some think it’s silly, some don’t.

    That's his whole shtick.

Never really offers anything constructive. Just snide remarks and unfunny 1 liners.

Best to just ignore and move on.

Yes, I realize this. Not the point. They were taken off of the “deal” without my knowledge. I was shocked when I took delivery and there were no floor mats. I have only bought 3 new vehicles in my life. Every one of those had floor mats.

The store bought stuff (meguiars/turtle wax) isn't worth the effort. The professional line definitely is so long as you understand how to use/apply it. (Youtube, Obsessed Garage/The Rag Company)

Clay and then polish the truck with Sonax Perfect Finish compound and Rupes white or yellow pads. Clean panels with Gtechniq panel wipe. Apply Gtechniq CSL, wipe off, then top with Gtechniq Exo V5, wipe off. Keep vehicle garaged/dry and let product sit overnight to fully cure. I believe 10-12 hours is the recommendation.

Maintenance wash with Koch Chemie GSF gentle snow foam, dry with leaf blower and apply P&S beadmaker.

That combo is supposed to last up to 5 years, but after a full year in the AZ sun (always garaged, washed weekly with Koch Chemie GSF and topped with P&S beadmaker) the roof and hood are due for another application.

The smaller bottle of CSL is enough for the Tacoma as that product isn't layerable and only gets one coat. You'll want the larger bottle of ExoV5 to do 2 coats.

I just bought Gtechnic C4 for the plastic trim and will do that after the Exo V5 is re applied.

The P&S beadmaker seems to attract dust (static cling), but with this ceramic coating combo everything literally just falls off when rinsed. Vehicle washing becomes so much easier.

I have a feeling the owner of the tacoma put in a higher rated fuse after the original fuse blew in an attempt for a quick fix.

Maybe you should have read the contract in more detail. You can buy mats that are way better than Toyota ones like Husky Xact Contour. Maybe call it a day, get past it, and enjoy your new ride and get good mats.
