They went bankrupt and stole a lot of people's money. Check out BAMF bumpers.

explain to them how the company went outta business long ago, then go find the websites of 2 big name alternatives such as ARB or whoever.

show them the price difference between aluminum->steel on those websites and then they should at least ballpark your steel bumper value for you. they'll be able to see for themselves roughly what the higher cost would be for steel this that and the other. not much to it =D

    demand competence, i always say.

Can't you just give them info on an equivalent steel bumper? Doubt the adjuster cares about what brand it was. You will have zero chance on finding any info on parts with a business that no longer exists.

My aluminum bumper with center hoop was $1,397.65, powder coated in March of 2016, including a 15% discount.

The problem is I’m a very honest guy so I would give them all the info I would fine on it. And in the long run I think that would hurt since I bought it used and I wasn’t the original owner of it. But I might just say to them it’s a pelfreybuit steel bumper with a grill protected and let them do all the research for said bumper. I’ll also be giving them a new bumper to replace that one I have 3 in mind so I just have to man up and pick one.

I thought insurance is supposed to give modern cost

what it costs to replace it today
aka them hopefully accepting supplied comps of current equivalent examples and potentially taking an average.

not hit you with some BS “well back in 1842 it was $3”

as we all know, things are now…different…
