They could have my truck until Wednesday, so I'm having the front and rear brakes replaced.

 

Are the brake pads and shoes bad already, or is it just precautionary?

 

My dipstick comes out with oil half way up the damn stick.
If mine comes out “clean”. It’s probably out of oil.

 

The rear brakes need to be replaced; I don't feel like bringing the truck back until it's time for new tires...

 

Is that the GMC? You've got 89K miles to go! Also, how often do you have to change the oil?

One of the few good things about those rear drums is the shoes last damn near forever, unless something else caused a premature problem.

I am still driving my mom's Murano; I took Amanda to work and stopped by Pete's. It's looking like a part failed rather than one breaking as a result of me doing something stupid.

It's ABS module! This one of the things I suspected back on Sunday, but wasn't entirely sure of as I'd hit a curb like ten minutes before the truck locked up.



Still cheaper than financing a newer Tacoma at today's interest rates!
