That and I kept collecting all these damn darts wondering "why the fuck do I need darts"

Then near the end, I get the schematic for making a dart gun

I'm pretty damn sure I put all my points in the wrong places but hey it got me through!

The good news is darts count as ammo so they don't count for your weight gain

And that's exactly why I kept picking them up

But stuff like Fusion batteries were freaking 5 WG each so huge pass

That and I bet this item (blue bottle) I kept passing up on was probably a mat for crafting something

Here I'll post up my stats in a sec

In Skyrim, I was always a thief type character so I focused more on that; feel like I should've invested much more in science seeing all the computers I couldn't hack

This is kinda what pissed me off about mine, I got an Associates and started my job full time at 19. Got it cheap with half a scholarship and only 20k in loans. I wasn't getting where I wanted in my career so started going for my Bachelors online while still working. Then got in with some big companies and by the time I actually got my Bachelors and was another 60k in debt I was already working for a big name company that was now the reason I was appealing to other companies vs the fucking degree. And I literally learned nothing with the Bachelors, I was submitting projects I was working on at work 90% of the time to the classes.

    /rant

Whatever by the time the pandemic hit my wife and I paid off both student loans and then since we weren't going anywhere (ie saving a ton of money) we got both cars paid off back then too. Now we just have half the Bronco's total cost which I hope to pay off sooner if possible. And when he's finally out of daycare that frees up another $16k a year to go towards the mortgage.

    Stuff. Also things.
One of the toughest financial calls we made was going ahead and getting a home equity loan. We were very lucky and had a good amount of value in the house, but it needed a decent amount of work to get the last few major projects done. Now, the entire property is dialed in, we have new entry doors that aren’t leaky AF, and a whole bunch of other little stuff that needed done. It ALL went right back into the house. But it was tough signing that paper and adding a decent amount of debt to the pile again.

I HATE being in debt, but even with a good job, it’s nearly impossible to avoid using credit. We don’t roll over credit card balances and we have been doing the ‘avalanche’ method to pay off the cars, which has been amazing. We were paying double payments on my lady’s car and then once that was paid off, we immediately added that amount to my car payment, which should be done in the next few months. Then, all of that will go towards my goddamn student loans, and we should hopefully have those paid in a year or two. After that, and barring any unforeseen circumstances, it’ll just be housing between the mortgage and the HE loan, and we’ll throw everything from the prior loans at that when the time comes.

That avalanche method is basically how we were doing it back then too. That's great that the house is set though, honestly you really need that. We did all the projects we wanted to on this house a couple years back and now it's just maintenance. There are some things that would be nice to have but we don't see much value putting more money into a place that isn't our forever home when it's pretty good as it is. Man adulting is hard. And don't even get me started about retirement savings that's a whole different animal too.

Debt sucks. It's always in the back of my mind haunting me. Certainly made some bad choices along the way that didn't help. Sounds like you've got the right game plan, and an awareness of the unforeseen. There's always unforseen expenses in life and they are never cheap!

    @Kwikvette

I'm gonna buy this cheap ass case and respray it beige, slap some IBM logos and branding on it....

Looks vaguely like an old IBM case already and saves me the hassle of case modding a genuine one

No shit lol I mean I guess you can't really do anything 'different' without it looking like something else that's out already

Just placed my order for ram so I'll have 4 sticks to sell; mobo and ram arrive tomorrow :bananadance:

That IBM Aptiva though looks sexy AF; I'd find myself pushing that power button a bunch of times (before assembling) just to get it out of my system :anonymous:

I'm just tired of cases with windows and glass, I don't need to see the inside of my computer and I certainly don't want to spend any money on lights and color coded cables or spend any time on cable management. It's a computer not a hydraulic jumping car haha. This case is perfect because it hides all the internals
