Brilliant - thank you. I am putting a canopy on my new truck and this is the first place I have read that the amount of lift is adjustable. I like the 1" rake the truck is delivered with, so I was concerned that 2" in the front was the only option. Now I understand why the lift kit is advertised as "the package offers up to a 2-inch front and 1-inch rear lift". I thought Toyota was simply covering it's bases in case somebody's came in at say, 1.75", after installation.

I am new to this forum and it's one of the best I have ever been on. The information is unbelievable and the user interface is well designed.

Truck looks great and has the perfect rake still! I too have the DCLB and want to add the TRD lift kit. A few questions on what you did: what clip position did you use up front? (middle or top). when you went with the headstrong AAL, which u-bolts did you use? (headstrong u-bolts or did you use the one's that you would get/order with the TRD lift kit).

I was going to buy some Black Friday 5100s, but I can get these OEM TRD shocks for cheaper with the Toyota parts 25% off sale right now. I just want to make sure that they will fit my 2017 TRDOR DCSB and that really all that I need are the 2 front shocks, and the two rear shocks, if I’m using Icon AALs for the lift in back (which already come with longer U bolts).

depending on whether or not the top nut to secure the shock is warped or not(mine was) that should be it. Though since you mentioned it’s a 2017, depending on how hard you’ve treated it, you could need the top hat components if the original ones are warped

Thanks. I’ve been pretty gentle with her, so fingers crossed on that being all.

Does anyone have the part numbers for the bolts that are used with the parking cable spacers?

Looking at the pic in the instruction manual, it looks like there are 2 long bolts and 2 short bolts.

Thanks for sharing this list! Ordered during the Black Friday sale. What clip setting did you use for the front shocks? Middle or top?

Just installed this today. What a pain trying to find coil compressors that would actually work with these springs. Question is does everyone bring the truck for an alighnment afterwords? If so does it matter where I go to get it aligned? The directions say the alignment target settings are different than preprogrammed settings for this vehicle. So would I have to have a alighnment shop adjust it to the specs in the direction instead? Thanks

edit:holy hell I feel dumb. Just discovered the vids on using a jack to remove the spring. Wish I saw these before I messed around with the dumb coil compressor tool.

Don't feel too bad, I did the the hard way using spring compressors several times on my 1st gen because I thought folks were smoking crack when I read about using the vehicles weight to do the same job. I came across videos when I did my 3rd gen earlier this year and couldn't believe how much easier it was.... felt like cheating. Any good alignment shop can handle the alignment. I drove mine for several hundred miles to get everything settled in before alignment. If your alignment was good before the lift, the it's shouldn't be horribly off. I would absolutely get an alignment but wouldn't stress about doing it immediately.

Damn. Made an appointment early tomorrow morning. So should I cancel and wait a bit then? The trucks brand new with 1300 miles.

It should be fine either way. If you think about it, all shops install lift and do alignment immediately.

Per @rybern, unless you're planning on changing the tires and/or wheels, get 'er done now.

Dealer installed last week. I’m enjoying it and like the heritage grill look.

    TRD Lift

I have scoured this thread and many others and would like some input for my specific situation rather than assemble bits of ambiguous data from all over TW. I post here bc this thread is focused on the TRD OEM Lift (2/1) that we most likely all have.
I would like to hear from those with similar or exact same setup (lift/wheel combo).
Ideal new tire would be Toyo Open Country AT3s. Weight, balancing, tread wear, mileage expectancy, and overall look/performance is why I'm going with these. However, I am open to suggestions.

    BLUF:
I am debating between 265/75R16 and 285/75R16 strictly for fitment reasons. Not for fuel economy or price considerations.

    Current Setup:
2022 TRD Sport with TRD OEM Lift (2/1) on TRD Pro 16x7s with +13mm offset, no spacer. No mud flaps.

    Options:
265/75R16 with a Bora 1 inch hub-centric wheel spacer to achieve desired "poke".
    *or*
285/75R16 with Bora .75 inch hub-centric wheel spacer to match previously stated "poke" and ensure UCA clearance.

    Questions:
Will the "285 Option" work, as this is my preferred plan? I am okay with light trimming or heating/bending/relocating inner plastic. CMC is a No-Go.
Do the back of my TRD Pro 16x7s have relief slots for the exposed studs with use of the .75 inch Bora wheels spacers? Pics?

Any additional concerns or questions that I've not asked or addressed?

    Thanks,
    Chris

    265/75R16 for me (it's 31.7inch close to 32")
2" in front TRD shocks; rear 1.5" rear TRD shocks

285 = those are 10 ply if your OK with that. Also you will need a cab chop for clearance.

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
I think 285s will fit without issues. I think adding spacers might require a chop mount but plus 13 you may get away with it. I have the 5100s which is the same as your lift but with more settings. I run 285s on a 2/1 lift on 17 inch wheels with+4 offset, I still have the factory mudguards. I have Toyos AT3, super light, been running them for years on my other vehicles. They are a top rated tire.
