Favorite Whiskey?

I kinda want this style comparison, I've got a few older bottles I bought circa 2000, I'll have to go through the older stuff and pick a couple and look for a newer releases to see how they compare. I know I've got a Jonny Walker 12yr, plus a Crown Royal and an JB Black 8yr that I've never opened. I wonder if they have changed much over 23 years.

 

First time I've seen this in Oregon...had to try it

It’s a 90 minute drive to that county, so anything else I’d be kind of annoyed to go pick up. But, if you win and don’t pick up your bottle, you’re blackballed from the following year’s lottery.

I was looking at last year’s winners and they seemed to have 2-4 cases of most everything, so odds are decent. Seemed like about every fourth ticket was a winner.

Obviously I’d love to score a BTAC or VW of some kind.

 

Nice little square of Ghirardelli to go with! I admit, I have some type of chocolate with most of my sippers of bourbon as well

 

70% - 85% is usually my go to, but love me some chocolate

Won a couple bottles in a group raffle, 46 for both. Luckily, I’ve only lost two raffles before this, beginners luck I guess

They’ve been drawing tickets on FB live. I missed the first three Pappy bottles but since then they’ve drawn for:

They were starting to draw for 18 Weller 12, but there are over 500 bottles total and I cant listen to this all morning. Will wait till they post the results later, but haven’t won anything so far. Still fun, I like the way this county does it.

Kinda funny, some guy got on the feed at the beginning and was trying to sell bottles to the crowd privately. Not so smart when the county alcohol LE arm is on the feed too. They just banned him and moved on.

I didn’t win a fucking thing BUT as a consolation I can pick up a four roses BS pick tomorrow morning, OBSO, which is a recipe I’d like. 90 minute drive each way. Seems…dumb.

The other options are certainly not worthwhile. Buffalo Trace pick. Eagle Rare. ECBP.

Edit: there’s no way I’m driving three hours for this bottle. Sanity has taken over.
