What do you mean tap a fuse? Vampire taps? This is starting to sound like you broke the evap wire and/or your current draw is jacking up the signal.

You're going to have to remove those taps and resplice all wires you tapped into.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 10 min to reset the system u might have triggered a safety mechanism with that code preventing it from starting .

Sure those components may still work; doesn't mean its done correctly, or that your truck is happy about it. There's been countless threads with ppl installing raptor lights, or other mods, using add-a-fuse/tap-a-fuse/break-a-fuse/whatever you wanna call them. The truck's ECU doesn't always play well when circuits are overloaded, especially not components that keep the engine running. My advice, undo everything you did, and start over. If that doesn't fix, its a new truck; take it in to the dealer.

    If it were me:
    1. Get back under the dash + driver's kickplate and undo everything I just did
    2. Electrical tape up any splices if you did anything other than the add a fuse
    3. Check all grounds at the driver's kick plate to ensure nothing is loose / everything is secured to the vehicle chassis
Keep it simple my dude. Undo what you did then make sure your Taco is getting the signals it needs to start. If there is anyone here with techstream it would be cool to screenshot for duder the ignition circuits and start signals if available.

    --
I never mess with the vehicle's stock electrical system because of this. My OE tray was fed from the battery through a 100A breaker and had a blue sea mLVD protecting it in case I accidentally left the ditch or bumper lights on. That circuit cuts power if the voltage drops below 12.1 so your start battery has enough juice to crank the taco. Accessories were powered from a Blue Sea Systems accessory fuse panel on the OE tray using negative triggered switched and single pole single throw automotive relays. Never any issues. ECUs are expensive. Check out my build thread linked in sig if you want to see pics of the above.

Everything I had tapped in the beginning got moved to an aux tray. I didn’t realize how deep the rabbit hole was.

Undo what you did see what happens. It didn't break it's self.

Ok, guys, here's what I'm gonna do I call the dealer and they said they could see the codes it. Also pulled a p 16 0 4 code which has to do with start ability. I did not splice or cut any factory wires. I only added a few tap times 3. I'm going to undo those fuse taps. Put the original fuses back in. Undo the battery level. Sit for 15 minutes and then try to start it. See what we get fingers crossed.

Sorry for your trouble op, but I think you have been given about as much help / advice as you can reasonably get without us being there. I don't blame you for not wanting to have it towed to the dealer as you are correct, they will rightfully blame you for causing this issue. Put it back to stock and go from there.

Have you tried starting the truck with the transmission in neutral? Just one more data point to check off.

Check your brake light/back up light fuse. If they are blown the truck won't start.

Tacoma uses a CAN bus protocol I believe, that system doesn't like dirty signals.

Check any start fuse. Replace it with a known good fuse. Don't just look at it.
