Hm maybe I should ask for them as gifts. I never know what to tell people because no one wants to buy videogames for an adult, and very few support my motorcycling enough to buy parts for it lol. I'm still waiting for the day I have nothing to spend on and can drop $300 on the S1000RR lego set lol

That XL500T would be a pretty rad bike. With an old-school round headlight :D

I’m chasing electrical gremlins on my BMW. All I can recommend is a shop manual with wiring diagrams, Facebook groups and forums.

I've been pretty lucky to avoid electrical gremlins mostly...but maybe because I never install electrical stuff myself lol. I'll have to check out some facebook groups and forums, shop manuals will help with factory stuff but not so much for aftermarket I would think? Will def take a look at some for my current vehicles though, I'm sure they can give some base of knowledge to start from.

If it’s aftermarket I’d just trace the wires back and see where they’re connected. A lot of times aftermarket installations are terrible and aren’t connected properly. I’ve seen lights and accessories “connected” by just twisting wires together without solder or crimps.

Most of the time I’d just redo all the wiring myself if any of it looks sloppy.

Sign up for the GLMC event! Great excuse to just get out and ride, gives you a reason to visit different places instead of the same routes you normally ride. Finishers status is pretty easy and you have to finish to get your shirt so you didn't just buy it, you earned it. I kicked ass on the mural tour last year and had an awesome time doing it. This year won't be as easy but will still be fun. Going to end up visiting more small towns and boroughs so that means for me stopping at some small town diners and ice cream shops. Sort of a ride to eat mission.

I think one FJR forums Eastern Owners Meet is likely going to be in Maggie Valley, NC in September provided the venue works out. If that happens I'll definitely be visiting that area.

Good point! I need to do another ride or two this year.

    My collection has been growing:

Yeah I’m trying to collect all the patches, though I don’t think there’s are too many left that I can realistically earn.

Pretty open to any bike. We have a few members who no longer have a FJR now on Spyders, Super Teneres, BMW models, Indian Scout, and more. Loud exhausts are frowned upon as we like staying stealthy.

Just bought a pair of the handguards that are 200 day backordered at partzilla off of ebay. Supposedly in-stock, from a dealer, and should ship tomorrow. Fingers crossed its the real deal, seller has 372K items sold and 99.6% positive feedback. Ended up being the same cost as partzilla since it shipped free. I'm not going to uncross my fingers until I get a shipping notification (that hopefully isn't in october)

I'm considering signing up for the GLMC Grand Tour but it's tough finding cities or towns with the "North/South/East/West" names. 20 points would be a grind.

Really is a tough challenge if you aren't planning it out and covering a ton of states. West coast and big empty states seem like it'd be a disadvantage for sure. Honestly kind of shocked there aren't more in CA.

For me, this is what I get in WA, none are even bonus points.

Idaho has two: East Hope and Weston.
