Yeah I didn't have bypasses. Those would help a lot to slow down the end stroke

I just don't like that rubber bumps don't really give you a definite end point

Honestly, unless you’re fully caged neither do hydros. The frame twists an insane amount as soon as the hydros are engaged.

But all of the suspension components twist together, so the bumps are still stopping the suspension itself. But yeah the frame flex is pretty nuts

I bent the living fuck out of the frame in the rear where the stock bumps were hitting the frame. Buckled it a tiny bit right where the cab meets the bed. Took a lot of work for 454 to bend everything back straight then box it up.

Never seen any signs of the bolt head getting hit surprisingly. But yeah I’ve been running them with and without the bypasses. A 1” hydro off the lca is about as long as you can go in my opinion without them being in contact for too long. Yes you can tune them with pressure and valving but who in here is doing anything but adjusting pressure on bumps. I just hate seeing people running 2” strove bumps up front that are basically touching the lca at ride height.

It’s a bump stop, let the shocks do the damping and let the bump stop just be there to help keep parts safe from bottoming out. Just my opinion

That and you'll bend the piss outta the shock tower tops.
I'm still on DuroBumps up front as well. Same, tune works well with them. Rear is the Urethane bumps that JD sends for their spring under. So far working.

Lack of shock tuning or lack of frame reinforcement or both?

    Stock-ish
I got mine to hit bolt head, and eventually the bumps ejected themselves. But that was with stock suspension up front (trd pro coil overs if I wanted to sound fancy) doing slap wheelies on the Koh desert lap pre run

Ive been blowing up rubber bumps every year, both super and duros, and am throwing in some king hydros with 1” stroke. At $200 a set, hydros are way cheaper in the long run, not to mention blowing them up far out on a trip and having to slow way the fuck down for the rest of the trip sucks.

    Howdy guys,
I'm back with nothing new. ):

At this point I've got the Marlin crawler gussets, TC double shear UCA gussets, Tundra rack with OEM inner TRE, and a PRG heim outer TRE. New lowest intermediate steering shaft that bolts to the rack.
    OEM lower alignment cams.
Last time my fab guy found some cracks in the LCA frame tabs when welding the Marlin Crawler gussets on. He welded those up.

Did some super light driving in JV last weekend, hit the powerline section once, cruising, not flying at all.
My steering wheel will not hold center and gets knocked anywhere from a few degrees to about 20 degrees off.
At this point I'm thinking something in the rack itself is moving or jumping teeth. Is this possible?
Nothing visually seemed off with any other part of the suspension, as I've paint penned all the connections and bolts up front, as well as the alignment cams & steering shaft pieces. They haven't moved.
