    Doubt.

    "
    • Toyota gross profit for the quarter ending September 30, 2023 was $16.353B, a 59.52% increase year-over-year.
    • Toyota gross profit for the twelve months ending September 30, 2023 was $57.165B, a 24.26% increase year-over-year.
    "

Only people losing money are consumers. Inflation and supply chain issues are the Bogeyman of the post covid era.

It's when American asshole executives get all the profit, which they then hide overseas.(as opposed to rich assholes form anywhere else pocketing the profit).

I agree, 55K is not mid size truck territory for me. If thats the range most of them remain priced at, I'll look at full-size and HD offerings if I had to buy new or replace mine (due to accident etc) I would probably not replace it at those prices for a mid size truck.

Yep it seems outrageous, the hybrid version is probably going to have quite a price bump too.

Baja California is the actual name. Saying “Baja, Mexico” alone is like saying something is built in “South, America” when you mean South Dakota.

The 54k price point is for an OR premium. What is a loaded OR if not that?

Not loaded if it lacks the hybrid option. Simply put it is 54k for an upper level Tacoma OR, but not the premium outside of the misnamed option package.

Compare to the tundra , it will be about the same increase depending on the size of battery they use

But that could because people wanted the non turbo, all I'm saying is if the new Taco doesn't sell as well they might have to drop 5000 off the price

IDK about later trucks, but 1st gen’s had to be in 4Lo to use the rear locker. It’s a non-issue to me since I don’t even need a locker, my Tacoma doesn’t have one.

Pretty sure I saw my first 4th gen today on the road. Maybe it was a Tundra and my eyes were still blurry, but I really think it was a Taco!

Ask someone who works in the industry, the supply chain disruptions had a ripple that is still being dealt with.

Also my money being worth over 20% less is no boogeyman.

I’d bet that >99% of owners with a locker don’t need it
