I have been having troubles with my 95 car alarm system. Each time I enter the car and don't start it up within 5 seconds. It didn't have this problem in the summer but as I went into winter this started happening, and now it happens every time I enter the car. I do not think that the previous owner put in a aftermarket car alarm system, but I am not too sure. I only got a key without the fob. How would I go about disabling it?

You're going to have to figure out what alarm you have. Which means sticking your head under the steering wheel area and trying to identify the alarm.

A "factory" (95 wouldn't have come from the factory with an alarm, it would have been installed as a dealer option) alarm would be something like a RS3000, and would be located behind or near the left kick panel. To remove the kick panel, remove the door sill (4 screws), and pull the kick panel straight back.

An aftermarket alarm will have a lot of T splices into wires around the interior fuse box and ignition switch. You'll have to trace those back to find where they installed the computer for it, and then hope there is a model number on it.

Definitely aftermarket or port installed, 1st gens didn't have a factory alarm.

Find the aftermarket wiring and follow it to the alarm module, they typically are tapped in near the steering column and aren't too hard to find.

Some you can just unplug, others are rooted quite deep and take some work and a bit or re-wiring to remove.

You probably have the RS3000 alarm system, it's a Toyota branded accessory not factory equipment as it's installed by the distributor or dealer after the truck leaves the factory.

2nd gens are the same way, they have no alarm from the factory (just an engine immobilizer (V6 only)) but they could have the RS3200 alarm installed by the distributor or dealer.

I've removed several of them, you can typically just unplug the alarm ECU to eliminate it.

Does the taco make an alarm sound or just kills the ignition?

Alarm removal is the first thing I do when I acquire a new Tacoma. The previous owners NEVER have any documentation or FOBS or anything.
