I get a lot of thumbs up and smiles…a few people running up to me in parking lots to say how much they love the “hot wheels” color! Then one guy said, “I wouldn’t get it because I prefer safe blend-in color, but I love it.” I suppose some are hesitant to stand out and shine!

Most who have a problem with it live a fairly monochrome lifestyle. The current fad is black, greys, and white.

I think a green like this is a bold start to what the colors used to be like. Look at all the muscle car era colors, they had so many cool colors.

Yeah, I’ve never been one to join “fads” I get what I like, not what I have to pretend to like just for the purpose of satisfying a demographic or trend.

I've found the same with my solar octane pro. I've never got so many compliments on a vehicle before. For me it goes solar octane, elm, Voodoo blue. The colors you see the least of day to day. In a sea of cement mgm and lunar rock these trucks stand out.

I’ve literally only seen one other Lime Tacoma, a few of the 4Runners, and not many Solars…it’s great to be unique!

I've seen 2 elm tacos one a pro thay was when I was in bc and an offroad. There are at least 2 other soalar octane pros in Winnipeg which is the closest big city to me. The dealer I bought mine from has another used manual solar pro for sale that came from bc.

Thats what I like about solar octane the most, it will only ever be on a pro 3rd gen.

First extended trip was great. Stormed overnight in the Badlands but we stayed dry in the tent. Also spent time in Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Spearfish Scenic Byway and Devil's Tower. Going to do an even longer trip in June of this year to Glacier National Park; can't wait! Have added two gas containers mounted to the underside of the tent since that first trip. Hopefully I never need them but added them for the just in case situation.

Decided ELM wasn't bright enough so i needed to add more color to the truck (still needs a lift to be done this weekend for the 33s). Its not for everyone but i sure hope out of the % of folks that drive ELM i'm even more unique with blue wheels.

Yes i'd say anything other than a dark blue would not look good on ELM. Most angles/dirt these wheels will tend to look more black than blue. The sunlight really makes their paint pop, plus being flow formed aluminum they weigh very little.

EL doesn’t exist in non premium trims, in Canada at least. sport or off road premiums get additional colours. The only AC manual we get is the trd off road non premium

the only premium manual we get is a DCSB sport, which are all premium packages, so any colour but that years pro colour.

that’s why if you see a DCSB sport in Canada you know it’s a manual transmission.

Wow what a mess to keep track of. I will never understand the point of these artificial restrictions.

I have no idea why it is the way it is. I see for 2024 all automatic trims are DCLB unless you get an off road premium. Our 2 manuals are off road and sport+. This is before the hybrid models come out.

It's wild. In the US the options don't factor into whether or not the truck is delivered as a stick, just the trim level. I have a DCSB TRD OR with just LED headlights. In an ideal world, I would've bought my exact truck in an access cab. But Toyota doesn't offer that at all here for some reason I can't understand.

What also gets me are the weird options limitations with the stick, as well. Like how we don't have auto keyless entry, or a start button, or JBL sound.
