you almost there! & YES following that advice you just gave is harder than you think. If you are a "worker" & not a loafer? its hard to slow down or accept the fact that you just "cant" what you could... thats really the toughest part. its been 1 year & 1 week now for me..... still struggling with that part of it.

did it this way myself. my best work friends all got together & we went out for lunch & then i handed the keys to the kid i trained to replace me. ( he still calls at least once a week for help/advice, which shows hes willing to learn & it also makes me feel good about having something to offer him along the way.)

 

Never said it was easy. Or that I have taken my own advice

22 years ago I fell into the snare of a cougar. Still with her, don't knock it till you try it

 

My wife is 6 1/2 years older than me. I don't think that qualifies her as a cougar. Maybe a bobcat?

 

I was 28 and she 41. 50 and 62 now.

 

My wife is much older than I am, I try not to let the generational gap get in the way.

Afternoon all

Well my morning panned out to be completely different than I expected . Walked out to my truck this morning at 0730hrs to head to my doctor's appointment . I turn the key to starting only to be greeted by the sound of dead battery

So I call up the VA to cancel my doctor's appointment at 0930hrs and luckily I was able to get another appointment next month .a few hours ago I went to check the battery and using digital multimeter it showed 11.48 volts

This is the third battery I've had to swap out since moving to Tennessee . I can't believe ive gone thru this 3x's .I guess the hot soupy humidity during the spring and summer months destroys the plates inside then winter months freeze them finishes it off

Right now I've got the battery hooked up to my 1.25amp battery tender plus and hopefully It'll bring the battery back to life . This morning voltage was 11.48 volts and a few hours later battery voltage is now at 12 . 63 volts

 

You can't prove I said it.

Afternoon folks scraped some roads today now I need a nap

 

Evening folks, hope everyone is doing well. The doughnut didn’t make it home today, I knew it wouldn’t, but people can dream.

 

Dare I ask what is in March..

I've always lived in cold climates but I've heard the heat you describe can actually sap the power moreso. Here the battery seems to croak more often in those cold times..mine did it but seeing as I got almost 10 yrs from it I shouldn't be shocked.
