I agree. I would never drive a truck if I didn’t use the open bed. A SUV is much more convenient.

I think one video out there showed the LCA's on the 2024 Pro were chrome. Maybe the Trail Hound/Huntsman pkg too. (I think the trailer hitch ball is chrome on that too)

Dunno about the UCA's: the black wheel-well shower curtains were blocking the view. :proposetoast:

They do. Only looking at the DC because they killed the AC, not sure why that is so hard to understand??? Don’t care how they open, though with the AC there is no B pillar to get in the way.

My 3rd Gen does have plenty of power, but if I am buying a brand new truck the choices are between the 4G Tacoma and the Tundra. Not even going to mention the other brands I am considering since you guys seem easily confused. Lol!

But you would never consider a $55K Tacoma. You would spec out a SR/SR5 just like the Tundra SR. So the question is, if you think $2,500 less for the Tacoma is not enough, what price point would make you say yes?

Had a Trooper for 12 years too, wife mainly drove it. Worked great when the 1st Gen Tacoma was down for repairs, which was often! Not sure why some guys are having such a problem with it, you can use different vehicles of all types for the same job(s) at hand. Daily, hardware store runs, camping, yanking the moto trailer to trail heads. Doesn’t have to be a Tacoma… lol!

Since a ‘24 Tacoma SR ACLB/DCLB doesn’t exist, has to be a SR5 DCLB. $2500 isn’t a huge difference, the Tundra SR would be the choice.

Price-wise the Tacoma XtraCab SR isnt too bad, $34,700, but no access doors, less power than my current truck, smaller gas tank, less towing capacity of 3500 lbs compared to mine at 6500 lbs. It is several steps backwards of my 3rd Gen, why I have zero interest in it.

Yes, inflation is an actual thing, never said it wasn't. Bogeyman refers to things being used as a means to frighten and misdirect.

TM still built more, sold more and made a record amount of profit during shortages. That's truly amazing given the supply chain issues and inflation...

Choices. Everyone has different interests. I am still deciding. Have a SR5 4x4 Double Cab short bed allocation coming "end of February" but I'm thinking it will be delayed to March. Looking at 2023/2024 Colorado/Canyon. Also looking at a local private seller super clean 2020 Tundra 4x4 TRD OffRoad with < 30K miles and save more than $10K versus the new Tacoma. I have about 2 months to make my mind up, and if I go for the used Tundra, that will be quick. Before March, there will be real owner reviews on the Tacoma.

No hurry here. Why I am all over the place. Could run out and buy a new truck tomorrow or I could wait a few years. Seeing prices coming down, certainly has me thinking waiting is better.

Don’t really new a vehicle, but my wife could use one, just give her the 3rd Gen when I upgrade.

Easy decision (IMO) : The Tundra. Don't wait two months. Don't buy a first-year anything. Colorado/Canyon? They'll never work out the first/second/third/infinity year bugs out of them. If you end up hateing the Tundra, trade it for a 2025 Tacoma, or even better: a 2026. You'll get most of your money back unless you put a million miles on it: Used Tundra's are always in demand.

I love the tundra but they need tow hooks lol
As much as I rag on domestic the Tremor and zr2 Diesel for 2024 has caught my eye . I get a killer deal through work so my dad may disown me but it's a hard deal to pass up . Tremor looks narrower though so it may be the better option when it comes to fishing and exploring

Full-sizes!? Thought they were too big for what to do?

No tow hooks is an easy fix, just toss on hidden winch bumper. Only $1000.00 If you’re looking at Pros, Tremor and diesel ZR2s…a grand is nothing.

I said I get a better deal through work so it would be cheaper if I got a tremor ...maybe not in the long run though lol

Just do what tacofluffer does (or doesn’t) trade in before the warranty is up.
