Looks like nasty weather across much of the country; be safe out there

 

Who knew you could turn on wifi calling and use your cell phone over wifi? I didn't know that until my wife told me last night so I went out to the shop and tried it, even sent her a text.....both worked.

Our cell service isn't the best at home, if I wanted to send a text or make a call I had to go outside the shop, until I ran internet out there

 

I've had a Google voice number for years. I can make calls from any computer that has headphones and a microphone. Can receive calls on the Google Voice number to my cell phone as well.

I do all my buying and selling using the GV number. It gets no spam calls and I can change the number at any time.

I hardly use my cell the shop because my hands are always dirty, but I do use my computer with the disposable keyboard for that reason.

It's pretty handy having a GV account. I really like texting using a full keyboard.

 

I've never thought about that either, makes perfect sense!!!

 

I know I've posted this before, I just think this is one of the coolest things. Fully electric, booty clean room wearing, brass forked Fork lift. Cost new: 300k.

The powdercoater has 2 identical forklifts, only difference is one is electric and one is propane.

Cole and I went over the other day to load a pallet of parts they painted, I turned the key and nothing. I redid the seatbelt, nothing. Redid the parking brake, checked to make sure it was in neautral, still nothing.

Then it dawned on me I was on the electric one and it wasn't going to crank no matter what I moved

 

I used it as a learning lesson for Cole

 

You can also use an extra cell phone not connected to a network. As long as the cell works on your wifi, you can make calls just like a phone with a contract.

The kids could have their own phone that only works around the house or an open wifi.

 

Well aren't you coming into the next century?
We only have WiFi calling as we only have 1 bar on phones, don't want to pay ma bell the extra $100.00 a month for the antiquated service and lack of customer support.

 

Forgot about the built in lift with no rubbing.
