The cap is RLD Designs. I swapped out the front solid doors for windoors - its awesome. Its a magnetic ferritic stainless steel, just over 1,000 lb static load rating and close 800 lb dynamic. Its a beast at 185 lbs but I feel its worth the added weight.

any lift on here? 16 or 17" rims? ive been looking into doing this for awhile. seems like there can be a bit of clearance/rubbing issues with going up to the 17 " rims, but this looks fine and looks great!

Great looking truck. Love that you didn't go all Pro model mod. Wheels and everything look great and tastefully done.

 

So about that…. I originally purchased them from Yotaverse, and they were about $50 including shipping. I was under the impression that they were made in house, but when I received them, I got a packing slip from eBay showing that they were from a vendor on there for only about $20. It wasn’t until I called them out and told them to refund me the difference and they actually did. It didn’t say anything about them using vendors from eBay on the description. Customer service guy told me this doesn’t normally happen and there was a mistake at the warehouse. I’m calling absolute BS. Needless to say, I won’t be buying anything ever again from Yotaverse in the future. It was a super sketchy experience. Long story, here’s the link from the actual vendor on eBay lol…..

Got a dongle
Came with some 3M double sided tape to stick it to the lip there. If it starts to aggravate me I’ll look into a better hidden option. Why can’t they make the USB port in the console CarPlay access?

 

They could...with longer wires (the ones in the console are just power ports). For those who just want to plug in for music it would be less convenient to use the one in the console. Or they could have 2 inputs to the HU but that would also add cost.

I think I'd rather just see the HU have wireless CarPlay as part of it...and that's been discussed more than once around here . It's all a balance between cost and benefit and I might draw that line differently than the manufacturer. I am grateful the recent models actually have CarPlay; earlier gen 3 did not.
