    @kidsmoke

Just watched the twenty minute documentary that Moto Guzzi did in '21 for their centennial. Fascinating stuff. I didn't know the factory was on Lake Como, that would make a great trip for a Guzzista.

Had a guy I knew as a kid, rode a Motto Guzzi, his buddy use to tease him. Motto Guzzi, man that sounds like “bad food “, everyone else rode Harleys

Good morning, I enjoy this thread. I plan to keep mine stock. 2023 SR DCSB V6 4x4. It came with the Predator bars added by the dealer. On my first cup and having one of these. No donuts places out here in the sticks.

    And they still do!

We're a fanatical breed. They're unique bikes. Feel like no other. Love 'em or hate 'em. It's said that the first hundred miles you want it to end, after that, you don't want to ride anything else. They pull all through the range, but especially between 4.5 and 7K RPM, and have a sound like no other.

Lake Como: they built there very first bike their in 1921, and every Guzzi since has rolled out of the same building, without interuption for wars or economics or anything. Amazing when you consider the lengths companies go to to maximize shipping logistics and hiring/training of technicians. This little town in northern Italy where 5 generations of the same families walk to work and churn out these bikes. Pretty cool stuff.

Since you brought it up...I''ll help us shake some winter doldrums:

my '93 1000S. 19 of these came to North America in their only year of production with this motor/valve/carb combo.

I don't own 1 of these, but for reference. These bikes outsold Harley's in 73 in the US, to Police Departments, mostly California

    Ok. I'll stop.

My sister in Spruce Head lost part of her fence, which had been there for many many years. Tells you something! They seemed oddly calm about it all. Scary shit if you ask me.

    Well a little personal update.
As most of you know with my previous story
I started bowling again after 50 years 8 months ago.
With me being a hard competitor in leagues etc, it’s been a very rough road. Nothing works like it use to or doesn’t work at all but I’ve been trying to be patient and work on fundamentals.
Decided to put myself out there and joined a senior league with Carol in Sept.
Carol has been doing awesome. Although her ball isn’t fast, like sundial speed, she is really accurate
And has beaten me during practice many times. She was very hesitant but now loves it and I am so happy she is on my team.
So for the 1/2 way point in the season my team is in first place.

I Just took over the lead in.
    Hi Single
    Hi Triple
    Hi Average
Bowled my first 300 game (3 string total, Candlepin)in 50 years.
Bowled my first game with 4 spares in a row in 50 years.

My average has been at my goal I set for myself for the last month.
Although it’s low compared to what it use to be,
I’m still thrilled at my progress.
It will never be like it use to be and I need to come to terms with that but,
    I’m not embarrassing myself.
Still have a lot to work on.
    It’s a journey…..
    17 weeks to go.
