My favorite is the part where stellantis claims that the diesel engine they put in the gladiator and in the Colorado only needs the DEF top-off once every 5000 mi and yet every road test basically said they were putting fluid in every two or three tanks of gas.

Don't use the Hewitt Kit. There's a fine print where you have to buy additional parts for a full delete. Just get an HP tuner and have it removed from the ECU reporting. Then you can delete it no worries.

It does absolutely nothing except blow some clean air into the exhaust to 'purge the exhaust gases'. Otherwise it's dead weight. with the Hewitt, all it does is delete the pump and piping. The block off plates didn't fit on the exhaust manifolds as they are made to sandwich between the pipes and the valves.... So I drilled them out and made them work. Sadly I knew none of this and the return policy is if the package is opened they won't take it back, so hence me making it work. I still have to have the stupid valves sitting in there and they still throw codes, but luckily it hasn't thrown both valve codes again which puts it into limp mode... so far...
Just one throws every so often, but my Ultragauge can clear it from the UI.

To delete the valves, you have to pay like $225 a pop to Hewitt for simulated valves.

you have to scroll down on the page to see this: "It is Important to understand that HT SAIS Bypass kits are engineered to work with Factory or OEM SAIS components. That said, aftermarket SAIS components can cause fault codes to be present after installation of the bypass kit. This typically means you will need HT Kit Addon(s) in order to clear SAIS codes that are still present."

Yep, from the research I did, you can get HP tuner and basically tell your ECU it it's a pre-2012 model and doesn't have the SAIS so don't report on it. Then you will have no dash lights, and no codes when it gets inspected. And its cheaper than the Hewitt kit + the stupid fake valves.
    Hewitt Kit $450 + $450 for simulated sensors = $900 + shipping and taxes
    HP Tuner $399.99 + 4 Credits for the 05-15 4.0L Tune $199.96 = $599.95 + shipping and taxes

Not sure where I read they have premade tunes but maybe it was a member on here that had them.

    https://www.hptuners.com/vehicles/toyota-tuning/
    Toyota Tuning Features Include:
    • New support for 2019-2021 Tundra Tundra 3UR-FE (Non-Flex Fuel).
    • Off-road features such as Gear/Tire Wizard, speedometer adjustment, and transmission support.
    • Transmission support for select Tacoma, Land Cruiser, Tundra, and Sequoia models.
    • Communication directly through OBDII with no need to modify or exchange your PCM.
    • Custom tune flashing and data logging via the MPVI3 and VCM Suite software.
    • High-speed data logging.

Edit: So I went over to the HP tuners thread, and it's a member on here and their site https://overlandtailor.com/ that does the premade tunes. So that'd be extra, I'm asking what their pricing is like. Still under what the Hewitt delete would be, and you'd have to talk to @snowsk8air2 about the SAIS code delete.

    I was wrong!

They do not delete the SAIS for you. You'd have to DIY that.
