Yeah, I agree, $6 a gallon (even for premium) is nuts.
My prices are in line with yours, $3.54 a gallon regular.

I thought my truck was doing that because of an air lock or something, so I always shake my truck when getting the shut off clicks and it seems to work. Does this mean I'm silly and it's just coincidence?

Yup. Here in Washington State we get to thank Gov. Jaydolf Innsloser for the 1 dollar/gal. gas tax and carbon offset BS.

Following up on this. I bought and replaced the canister filter (#3) since it was a cheap place to start.
    IMG_4294.jpg
This did not fixed my problem. Bought a bore scope and went down the filler neck to the tank and found zero obstructions.
I think my only other option is pulling the evap charcoal canister assembly (#6) and replacing with a new one. This option sucks because they run around $300. I still have no codes showing up and refueling takes 10-15 minutes since the pump clicks off every .2-.3 gallons. Any one with any better ideas?

Before you replace the canister can you simply disconnect the line going to it? See if that let's the air vent out

I can certainly try that. Will running it with that line disconnected cause a code?

Do you top off the tank after auto shut off? Topping off can lead to issues I’ve heard.

The vent assembly (#3 in that latest picture) had solved the same problem on my 2016 years ago. While you had everything disconnected, did you blow air through the lines to ensure they were also free from obstruction? It would certainly be worth a shot doing that from the vent to the canister, and even from the cannister to the engine... it will at least rule out the lines prior to replacing the charcoal canister.

I didn’t blow any lines. I will try this as well when I disconnect the canister.

This may sound silly, but my work van does this, I found by coincidence that the QT I normally fill up at this always happens at, however if I take to Arroco up the street no issues. I think in this case it’s something about the pumps. I honestly have no idea.

I thought it might be a certain pump and tried several different stations over the last few months. Same problem at all of them

It's been a long time since I hunted down all the lines/components in this system... But, while you are disconnecting those lines to blow air through them, you might want to take a look at the smaller line connected to the #3 vent assembly, as well as reference #5 canister vent valve. When powered off, that valve should be open which will allow the whole system to vent (through ref. #3) Good luck, dude!
