Hey guys need advise please.Have an 06 Tacoma with less than 100K only because it was
not my daily driver.Truck is 18 years old and was wondering if I could get a better ride with
Some maybe ride height bilsteins 5100s or just leave it alone.I don’t know if it’s mileage or
age or both on shocks wearing out. Thanks

    Factory shocks on a 2G are pencil-thin.
    5100's are also pencil-thin
Pencil-thin shocks don't ride well at any mileage.

    Not everyone needs 1000$ shocks.

5100's are a big improvement over stock.

This 06 would benefit from new shocks for sure, if you're on road or gravel roads the 4600 or small lift 5100 is a great choice. Make sure to read up on the mega thread for 5100's.

It's not. I've had all of those.
But you can certainly get that

getting something good (one thing), is cheaper than getting something bad and also then after that getting something good (two things)

    Are the shocks leaking?
Shocks do not necessarily mean ride height and if not properly setup, it's a worse ride than stock.
If you want a better ride, my suggestion is Bilstein 4600. They are not what come from the factory on our trucks.
Google is your friend, my friend.

Not leaking and I know the 5100s you can adjust the height.Could level out my front end.I do know
what your talking about. If You don’t adjust them right you could have a very stiff ride.I’ll check out the 4600s.
