I have been seeing way more 3G Sequoias on the road probably taking away 4R and GX sales.

They could, doubt it. Starting model now is the SR5 that has a base price of $40K. Looks like Ford got rid of their bare bones Bronco too, it was low $30s, Jeep still has the “cheap” trim.

    Base is gone for ‘24.

Slap an Escalade front clip on it and call it good.

I'm interested in the Tacoma TRD Pro. Some consider this a "halo" vehicle and use that word negatively supposedly because you will never use the performance capability. But since most truck owners never tow and rarely max out their payload capacity, aren't they driving halo trucks too?. If you drive a Lexus aren't you driving a halo vehicle? You're never going to use all of those luxury features.

Anyway, the TRD Pro is going to be expensive right? A TRD Off Road with all the options is $54.5K. Last year the Pros were $11K more than a maxed out OR so a 2024 Pro should be about $65.5K? That's $9K less than the Tundra Pro.

If Toyota's midsize halo truck is $65.5K, how does that compare with Chevy's midsize halo truck? A 2024 ZR2 Bison is $63.5K.

But wait you say, the Bison has 35s!

    First, check this out https://youtu.be/UKaPcSdGS1s?si=mT1D12Y2FXY9OF_K

at 7:45 he talks about the tires rubbing at full lock.

    Other differences:

    310hp/430tq vs 326hp/465tq
17/19mpg (less with the 35s) vs 19/23 (will be better with the hybrid)
Bison has hydraulic jounce bumpers front and rear, Pro only has rear jounce bumpers but Pro has swaybar disconnect
Bison has tailgate stowage but Pro has auto tailgate
    11" display vs 14"
Pro has Iso Seats, power sliding rear window, air compressor, HUD, and a removable speaker

Also, I'm sure you could add 35s to the Pro for less than it would cost to add a hybrid motor to the Bison.

I'm actually think the Tacoma Pro may be more than $65.5K.

53K will not buy you a loaded OR. Current options already exceed that and once the hybrid is available, even more.

Agree with you on the Pro price as well potentially.

I forgot to add the del/proc/handling. I edited my post. And yes the hybrid, when available, will make an OR even more expensive.

Still lacks the hybrid powertrain though. I can't wait to see how much that adds to the sticker price.

The people that think the 4Runner is going have a manual are high on crack.

That is Ivan Stewart, in his stadium truck, one of my all time favorite racers. True Toyota fan boy would have known that.

So it's a show truck, you like show trucks but not halo trucks. Got it.

Isn’t the Bison also giving you a front locker, AEV steel bumpers and skid plates? I personally wouldn’t buy either of these $60K trucks. It seems silly.

Not much more gets you a diesel half ton…that or save yourself $15K, and get the Colorado. :)

If they were going to do it, it would be on the announced Land Cruiser.

No one except for a few weirdos here want a manual in their expensive soccer mom SUV.
