I don’t watch sports or racing because I don’t care what other people are doing.

 

RAM 1500 V8 upgrade is $3,000. People pay that without blinking.

 

The front locker is a pretty big deal since no other midsize comes with it except the Rubicon Gladiator. Which is another truck the taco fan boys seem to never want to discuss. It seems to be a trend here to not want to discuss the more capable competition.

 

It depends on whatever other shit they decide to package it with, l have a feeling it will probably be on top of a premium package.

The mall arcade had one, but if my memory is correct was a flat table with 4 steering wheels.

 

It’s easier to add an aftermarket front locker than it is to add an aftermarket disconnecting front sway bar, that’s their reasoning. I run two arb air lockers and hardly ever engage the front. Most users won’t need that capability. The capability of the gladiator is great but it has always been too expensive and too big of a compromise. IFS is better in every type of driving except crawling anyway.

 

All the parts already exist….
Recall that Toyota sells more manual transmission Tacomas than the total number of Sequoias.
A manual 4Runner could steal some market share from the Bronco and Wrangler….and make a few bucks in the process.

In this article it also says those Pro Pogo Stick Seats will also go over to the 4R.

 

When the Bronco was re-introduced manual take rate on orders was 15%. Then again you can actually order what you want with Ford, where Toyota thinks for us and tells us what we will like to have. Why yes, I would like Toyoguard please! Only $700, what great value!

 

Should be interesting. It would be great if they actually announce something on the new 4Runner.

 

It’s been fucked since August. Things might improve when we have real owners.

Yeah, I think its getting to the point where its just a waiting game... Basically all of the info that we are going to be getting from Toyota is already out so there isn't much else to speak on or discuss UNTIL they come out. Im hoping that we only have a week or two more but who knows? If all of the EPA stuff is actually true, we could be waiting even more.

 

It appears the EPA testing is complete. The trucks are apparently on trains. I believe the EPA rating has to be integrated on the window sticker.

 

So almost everyone who is speculating in the industry? There is a chance due to the fact the new 4runner is basically going to be a Tacoma with a cover where the bed is.

 

I'm not convinced there will be a 6G 4R. I'll admit it makes no sense to axe the 4R. Toyota offers so many BOF alternatives LC 250/GX 550 and Sequioa along with all their CUV offerings.

 

If Toyota cancelled the 4 runner there would be a mass revolt from Toyota fans that would reverberate to their bottom line..
