I’m impressed with the weather forecasters. They said the wind and snow will start around 9:00am, 27 minutes off, not bad.

 

Seems they're getting better.

I'm proud to have great insurance for cheap. US Navy did me well. I should end up around $1200 for dentures with 5 regular extractions and 3 pther surgical. Eye glasses every year for almost nothing. I pay $56 a month. LOL

Paperwork and lunch with retirees.

 

Did you get some projects or hobbies in line the last 3 months you were working.

 

I have to work on my truck.

It's a hobby for me. You know, what you got away from.

Actually, yes I have tons to do. But I will decompress first. Until my wife gets tired of that.

 

No plug in ability?! What state are you in?

In my waaaay younger days I watched my Dad put charcoal in a pan, light it, wait for the flames to go out, then slide it under the oil pan.

 

With the wind chill, that’ll freeze antifreeze, not really, but damn that’s cold. There talking-5 without wind chill Sunday, Monday, Speedo weather

Even though we don't know each other..... I'm happy for you.
Anytime I hear about someone else getting to retire & not be dead first, it makes me happy.
It's the American dream! Work until there's nothing left of you, retire & make your own schedule!

Here's some tips from a guy who also retire in a January:
IF you are in a winter location? It makes it tough to get off to a real good start unless you have a nice heated shop.
Pace yourself! It's a huge transition. Physically & mentally.... Not to mention financially.
There is always another day! A luxury that you probably didn't have when working.

My first couple of months retired were so stressful. Trying to get my health on track, the financialg swing, endless DR visits.

And of course getting up at 5am for my entire life..... Not having to didn't change nothing. Still was wide awake every morning.

Still had work/stress dreams every nite, still do most nites.

It takes time to get in the groove of it & find a good rhythm.

Most important thing? BREATHE!!! You made it!
