Highlander, Land Cruiser or Sequoia. Definitely ditch the Tacoma with more than 1 kid. A 4runner will be cramped with 3 kids.

OP you may have misunderstood all the chat on the forum. For the 3rd gen, only the engine is from a minivan.

They're kids...who cares if they're comfortable in the back seat? If you can cram them in, it's sufficient.

It'll be pretty tight and you might not have much knee room in the captains seat, but I think you could do it if you loved the truck enough. Otherwise you should get a TRX

Hey OP. I have four young children including three-year-old twins. For 99% of family hauling we use my wife's Expedition. Occasionally, however, I take three or more of the kids on an errand or something. Two booster seats in the rear of a dual cab Tacoma can work, but it is crowded. I would recommend it only for occasional use, not as a daily family transportation solution.

I don't recall my parents giving a rats ass of we were comfortable. Seat belts on and STFU.

I remember when my dad packed a bunch of shit into the backseat and I had to sit smooshed against the window for an 8 hour car ride (this was an old 60 series Land Cruiser that didn’t have the split rear bench).

You would think there are laws against that these days. But if you are not "enlightened" yet ... :annoyed::crapstorm:

I have two daughters and I’ve watched the evolution of car seats and booster seats over the last 20 years. I still remember when they recalled a booster seat when my first daughter was six years old because some seatbelt pensioners could cut her in half and I’m like if I just threw her in the backseat with the rest of the cargo, it probably would be safer.

Throw a bunch of colored plastic balls in the cargo area and she would be entertained for the whole trip!

97-99 tahoe, yukon, suburban. Most comfortable seats ever. Tried and true v8, but terrible gas mileage. My dad had the tahoe my mom the burban. Great times those 90’s were.

I went to a white bread private high school in Alabama and every rich kid when they turned 16 got a brand new Z71 pick up or two door Tahoe as a birthday present (not me, we were poors).

I dated a girl that had a Z71 two-door Tahoe sport. The front seats were like a freaking lazy boy.

Just get a full-size crew cab. My wife drives a 2018 Tahoe and I have a 21 Silverado and the Silverado has about 12" more leg room than the Tahoe. You could move into the backseat of any of the current full size offerings. At this point the gas mileage is better in the full size and in some areas with the right deal they are cheaper.
Ya'll telling this poor dude to get a highlander. You should be ashamed of yourselves! Buy a truck, just get a real one.
