Hmm what would cause my blower motor not wanting to work? The med high setting hasn't worked in a while but this morning nothing wanted to. I've replaced the switch once.

You know the drill. Multimeter at the blower and look for power, trace it back to find your problem. Isn't there a resistor on that circuit?

I think there is a massive multi resitor on the blower if i remember right. Not sure how common it is for that to go out.

And I wish it was that easy. -19 this morning, I don't wanna work on the truck in this shit

It's less Tacoma and more mod
You can hotwire it in the meantime and get full blower speed at least. If you take the blower motor resistor out which just comes out with two screws easily you can use a paperclip to short the terminals inside it so it'll at least stay on full blast for you

Well I got the low high setting to work. Then about half way to work I got the high setting. Was a coldish ride to work but not painful. Will get a new part coming and just replace it so I don't have to pull it twice. Probably be able to do it in the shop at work after work.

Oh how age softens a man. I've seen you crawl in the mud and snow fixing a ball joint before...

Speaking of that trip I recently came across this gem again.

"So there I was, monte thinks he is doing to outrun me in frank, but I just casually pulled along side him and he saw nothing but taillights after that" I don't remember what the conversation was but that's what his gestures speak to me hahaha

Well look who came outa the wood work!

    How you doing?

haha I mean i'm still pretty good to go down to 0 in an uninsulated area. Been like that for the last 5+ years. But -19 to -30...no thanks. The wrenches freeze to your skin at that temp. And I do wear neopreane gloves now most the time but those are great for insulation.

Plus, I was in the mounatins on the trail. The trail make a man do all that is necessary.

    oh man.

Could be. But doubtful. I don't think I would ever think I could out run the FRV unless it's in the rocks.

Speaking of FRV. Probably it's last year of service. My dad is looking to upgrade. Really wants a Rivian but my Mom wants him to get the new Tacoma.
