Update: This after about 500 miles, the issue has now stopped happening. All seems to be working fine......who knows. Will report back if the issue comes back.

Have you replaced the batteries before? I am going to be at least trying it before they go in the trash and I have to buy new ones when their batteries start to fail.

They are AA. Make sure you line up the +/- properly.

Figured I'd post an update/follow up to this thread. The issue originally discussed in Jan did eventually resolve itself, and I didn't have any issues until recently again. I didn't even rotate tires. I had a nail in a tire and had it patched at discount tire. Almost immediately I started getting the yellow caution triangle and very sporadic tire pressures shown. Sometimes all 4 show up right away, sometimes they show up after 30 miles and then go away after 10 miles more. Sometimes they never come on at all. It is just really inconsistant. From previous posts I gather that if a single TPMS sensor goes bad or has a low battery that the truck will display "---" on all 4 tires. Seeing that these are the original ones for this 2016, a low battery wouldn't surprise me.

What is bizarre though, is when this issue does show up, it is always after a tire rotation, or even in this case a simple plugged hole with no tire rotation. Maybe the josteling of the tire during the maintenance is just enough to piss the sensor off?

I'm going to live with this for the next while. I am due for 2 new tires before winter so I guess if the issue continues, I'll have them dig into it at the shop.

Here's an update on mine. I bought Autel sensors for $113 on Amazon since I already had their TS-508 reader/programmer. America's Tire installed and programed them no charge with the new tires i got earlier this year. I've had no problems since for about 13k miles now.

My light had been on for at least 6 months and I able to mark the sensor that didn't read. I even checked them right before getting the new tires.

When I got home I looked at the old sensors for any damage. I couldn't find any visible damage. The sensor is pretty robust in a plastic shell. You can see the battery and circuit board incased in some kind of silicone on one side. I get my reader out and it picks up all 4 ok. WTF?

I dig out the battery in the one I marked as bad. It's a 3v coin battery. It reads 3.06 volts. WTF? I guess something in the electronics just made the signal too weak to read through the tire.

I've seen a video before where a guy cuts out and replaces tge battery. He must have his own tire shop or access to one as it just not practical or cost affective if you had to go to a tire shop to do your own battery replacement. And in my case it wasn't even the battery.
