    I must have missed that.

Still, that would allow them to shut down Pad B and build OLIT2 right about where Pad A is.

Lots of transformation to do before they can ramp up. Can’t wait to watch it all happen.

    Not just HLS:
Orion has 3 issues to address:
    Excessive heat shield ablation
Valves in the life support system
    Electronics in the abort system
Also the Axiom suits aren’t ready
I guess the Orion issues are why they want another uncrewed mission.

I thought I heard something about talking to the Army Corps of Engineers about expanding the site some time ago.

Nice he can stay focused on SpaceX:

    https://x.com/tobyliiiiiiiiii/status/1745953714026803250?s=20

Some points that stuck in my memory:
    • Looking to certify F9 for up to 40 flights
    • Starship will grow in length by 20-30 meters
    • Goal is to have Starship dispensing Starlink satellites via their pez dispenser by the end of the year
    • No mention of regulatory status or issues
    • Definitely second tower at Boca Chica
    • Polaris Dawn will be first spacewalk out of Dragon. Still grappling with spacesuit design.

So do they extend the tower or move the lift points down on the ship? If the booster stays the same length then the QD arm can stay put but at what point do they just raise the entire arm?

And for getting as much time flying Peregrine as they have. It all has to be contributing to the learning curve for everyone involved anytime another company steps into the ring. It sucks not to be able to deliver the payloads though. On another note does anyone else notice the difference between the “clean room” assembly areas of every other space company and the “construction site” assembly areas of Spacex? I mean, for years now they’ve been building them either in tents, open air wharehouses, or open air period. I don’t know what it will look like inside the factory when finished so maybe that will change.

Re: the clean room, it's been my understanding that old space wanted the entirety of all launches to be as pristine as possible. The FH test flight blew all that away. It would be interesting to hear from some in the launch industry..
